I've retired from ESO and I am relying on code contributions for maintenance: GitHub Repo

A continuation of Atropos' Foundry Tactical Combat. This is an updated version of Demiknight's patch. The change log has more info, main changes below:

Added the option to show @names in place of character names when in a group (shown in the attached image) or when targeting someone.

Added a keybind for refreshing the group frame. Despite the addon's attempts to the contrary, sometimes it will fail to load a group member(s). This will force an unobtrusive refresh so that you don't have to /reloadui to fix it.

Added the ability to disable healing logs/text out of combat or at all times. Individual options for combat log and scrolling text.

Solinur updated buff tracking.

I also still get errors when grouped and combat mode is intiated, I have to turn off unit frames and reloadui in order to stay grouped.

I've discovered a new error on the latest version of the addon (1.17), with 3 actions. These are replicated in a group when entering/in combat with a group player in proximity. Unfortunately the errors will impede combat roughly every 2 seconds, often simultaneously with each other until combat is ended.

I've been extremely busy with work, but I've updated it with mitbulls' fix. Once you have that, see what else triggers errors and post the errors.

Agreed.. oddly, it was happening at dolmens and dragons... (while grouped)... I'm not sure about delve and public bosses since I had to turn it off before we got into those...

Oh... and previously it was when my mouse crossed over a companion... I honestly am not sure what it was this time. I spent a few seconds confirming it wasn't MY companion at least while at a dragon...
Anyone know when there'd be an official fix?

I don't see a good way to search for this, but I have to guess it has been asked before....is the official source code for FTC kept in a public repo so that the community can contribute in a more formal way than posting to this forum patches?

Hack for companions

NOTE: I am not the addon author. This is not an official fix, just the result of some troubleshooting on my side.

The problem is that in the ESO API, companions and group members are separate things. It causes some weirdness. In order to prevent the errors, browse to the FoundryTacticalCombat\core directory. Open events.lua in your favorite text editor.

On line 202, you should see something like this:

Update this line to add another check for companion:

Save the file, reload your UI (use the /reloadui command) and profit!

Found that if Unit Frames is disabled error goes away. Can be disabled by going to Settings -> Addons -> FTC and set Unit Frames to Off. This does set the Group members and your Stamina/Health/Magica bars back to default. But no annoying error message.

Yeah there is certainly a bug related to groups. I was in a dungeon and the moment one member dropped out (after final boss) it started spamming errors.
I'd guess it's because when you are solo the addon isn't 'on'. But yesterday it seemed to get worse and worse pretty rapidly.

(When grouped) Last night after running Rockgrove a few times I was literally having to spam 'dismiss message' like 5-15 times every second to clear the errors. It's getting to the point where I'm going to have to disable the addon when grouped.
