Wykkyd Toolbar is an addon originally programmed as a piece of Wykkyd's Framework. It provides an informational bar with on-screen display of useful, configurable, "tools".

Advanced Setting Controls (available in all Wykkyd Addons)

Save To Default - This feature saves a snapshot of your logged in character's CURRENT settings as a save set named SYSTEM DEFAULT.
Load System Default - This loads the current SYSTEM DEFAULT as your character's settings and effectively sets your character to MIMIC the SYSTEM DEFAULT. This behaves exactly like Mimic below, with the exception that the SYSTEM DEFAULT only ever changes when you manually save to it from any character, by clicking Save To Default.
Mimic... - This sets the current logged in character to adopt the settings of another character until this value is changed. This causes the logged in character's saved settings to reset every time you log in or Reload UI to be like the mimic'ed character. If you set George to mimic Bob, as you save settings on Bob while playing those settings will become George's settings too whenever you log into George. As you play George and change his settings manually, those changes become temporary unless you clear the Mimic box. This affords some fairly awesome opportunities for your play sessions.
Wykkyd's Preferences (where available) - This will Reload UI and set your active character to the basic settings that Wykkyd uses for that addon for his characters as his STARTING point, he customizes each character from there and you are encouraged to also do so.
Reset All - Resets all settings inside the Advanced Setting Controls section for that addon, for that character

Use of SYSTEM DEFAULT allows you to basically create system-wide default settings. I say "system" because these settings are not filtered by account name. So if three people share your computer, they all adopt the system defaults (if they selectively choose to do so). This is a "neat trick" for people with multiple accounts as it lets you share settings across all of them.

For example, if you log into your first character and set every Wykkyd addon up the way you want. Then in each you click "Save To Default", one by one. You've now established your "baseline", if you will. You can then log into each character you have (regardless of number of accounts), including that same first character, and inside each, in each addon, click "Load System Default". Now every single character will use the same settings. In fact, because you saved defaults from character 1 and then set character 1 to use those same defaults, even that character is inheriting the SYSTEM DEFAULT every single time it loads. This means if you're on character 7 and decide to change your default for all, all you have to do is tweak your settings and click "Save To Default" and every single character you set up this way gets those settings automatically.

WARNING: System Default, and Mimic, can be dangerous. As of this time this ALSO includes saved item sets, gear sets, quest header settings, tracked achievements... IE: it includes data saved by the addons too. THIS WILL BE CHANGING IN THE FUTURE to be more intuitive and robust. But I didn't want to delay this feature until that was 100% polished. After all, this is fairly useful as is.

• All the currency items, except soul stones (which isn’t really a currency) are now using a new single LUA. Previously each currency had an independent file with 90% the same code.
• Fixed the soul stone icon when the character has no soul stones.
• The method to provide a warning color for currencies has been standardized. Prior to the warning limit the value will be normal. From the limit to below maximum is yellow. Maximum is red.

If I'm following things, there was a change in the behaviour to the API call for GetNumSkillLines() and GetSkillLineInfo(). They now return all skills of a type, rather than just those known by the character. Further, GetSkillLineInfo() has been enhanced to return a value of if the skill has been discovered. With the original code, my vampire was always showing no progress on the toolbar as the loop would end on werewolf. (Which is a skill I don't have.) (EDITED) I updated the code in SpecialWorldXPBar.lua as following: for xyzzy=1,GetNumSkillLines(SKILL_TYPE_WORLD) do __--worldSkillName, worldSkillLevel = GetSkillLineInfo(SKILL_TYPE_WORLD, xyzzy) __worldSkillName, worldSkillLevel, worldSkillDiscovered = GetSkillLineInfo(SKILL_TYPE_WORLD, xyzzy) __if worldSkillName == "Vampire" and worldSkillDiscovered then ____name = worldSkillName ____rank = worldSkillLevel ____specialWorldSkill = xyzzy __elseif worldSkillName == "Werewolf" and worldSkillDiscovered then ____name = worldSkillName ____rank = worldSkillLevel ____specialWorldSkill = xyzzy __end end Hard to say if this was really the best solution, but it seemed to fix the issue. There hasn't really been a team in some time. It was largely Ravalox and myself, and for more than a year now, Ravalox has been working on development of another game, Shroud of the Avatar. Drakanwulf and I had a conversation via gitter the other day about the copyright issue and we're working that out.

Pat was banned from my discord for quite literally harassing me. I explained quite nicely to him that I've got quite a bit on my plate, and I was also dealing with some home network issues (17 year old broadcast flooding the home network that very same day, significant other with cardiac health issues, amongst other various things), and I'm trying to balance the demands of a full work schedule with multiple people all wanting updates with various levels of detail.

I'm also in the midst of an insanely busy period with work (SOX audits, combined with Production SQL server failures on a critical system that I'm responsible for) so I got tied up with other things.

That led him to accuse me of lying, which I took offense to. He then took it upon himself to complain several times to the ESOUI site admins, and come back at me again further in my Discord, which is why I kicked him. I banned him when he rejoined.

I should like to confirm the fact that Calia1120 was not lying when she said that she and I are having conversations and that we are trying to find a middle ground where we can collaborate on projects. I can confirm what others have reported in these forums that life has been running Calia1120 through a briar patch of late.

I have never known Calia1120 to deliberately lie to me. Like many of us who like the ESO game and who take the time to program addons to make the game better, life often forces us to make tough decisions and our hobbies are the first to get delayed or temporarily set aside despite our best intentions to get the job done quickly.

My issues with Calia1120 were triggered by my own lack of patience (patience is not one of my virtues) and by my overly aggressive attitude about seeing my manifest changes get approved. Some people do not react well or in a positive manner when they feel as if another person is being "pushy". I know that I do not. In fact, it makes me wonder sometimes why I do to other people that which angers me since I know how poorly I react when other people attempt to do the same to me.

I'd like to clarify several things.

- For the person who talked about hiring someone, this has never been a paid effort. That's something that people assume quite often.
- I started the Patreon AGES ago. I haven't seen a penny from that, so no scheme there. Someone suggested I do it if people felt like sending me monetary appreciation for some of what I do. I've written technical articles in the past, well before I got into addon work, which leads to my next point:
- I have a website as a professional portfolio since I work in IT, and I've been working on overhauling it.
- My day job is in corporate IT for a US government defense contractor. I support business critical applications, primarily doing systems administration, database and web development. This means I'm on call the majority of the time due to the nature of what I do.
- I'm a mom to a preteen, first and foremost. This has always been something that I've loved to do, and I've played ESO since closed beta, and I don't plan to walk away from it. Life got the better of me for a bit.

I've reached out to multiple other people who have mentioned working on updates, and have merged in many of their changes. I've extended offers to several of them regarding coming on as collaborators, but they've passed. There was a user who never bothered trying to contact me and was extraordinarily disrepectful their initial posting of their update, and continued to be unnecessarily rude, so yes, I did have that version removed due to the copyright violation.

I've said multiple times that I'm more than willing to collaborate, and presented avenues of communication, yet only a handful have joined me on Discord.

I saw that when going back through her comments to see just how often she claims to be updating in the next day or 2. I tried not to comment directly on her excuses, if something happens irl then obviously you can't work on something like these addons. Just to really make my point very clear:

I'm not complaining that she isn't updating addons, or that she has real life things that she needs to attend to. I'm complaining about the constant claims that she is planning to release an update and then never releasing an update.

This can be solved quite easily if she just stops saying she will be updating, and then, if or whenever she actually can get the time to do an update, releases that update and then says "i released an update" after she already released it. Releasing an update isn't required in this solution though, the only thing required is to stop claiming there will be updates.

I don’t know what to tell you. I know when I go to package up my add on for release it takes a while. Usually package it up and then test it to make sure everything is good on a totally separate machine. And then screenshots, writing up the changes, writing up the info for the add on page — it adds up. Takes me an hour start to finish. Maybe she can’t get the time to submit it.

On a separate note, has anyone actually asked to help her out officially? I’ve seen people take the add on and release their own versions but I wonder if anyone has asked to become a co-contributor. Maybe I’m wrong, I’ve not scanned the entire comment log.

I do not think a single author here was but I was not trying to update the addon toolbar or iny addon from the Wykkyd suite but I know there was a misunderstanding of the wrists communication and calia offended from releasing the update under her name as a plugin not as a direct addon update and eventually refused to add as an author

Calia shut that update down, I wish I downloaded it when I had the chance, haven't been able to find it.

I think she is either trolling or has some patreon scheme going and needs to keep people thinking she is working on these addons to keep making money from patreon. So she will keep stringing everyone along saying updates are coming without ever actually releasing updates. While also shutting down anyone that tries to update them.

Although, I can't find her patreon, if it was a scheme it would be plastered all over, and its not, so maybe I'm wrong on that. I'm just trying to make sense of why she would string people along for almost a year, constantly saying she is pushing out updates in the next day or 2. It just feels like she is running some sort of scheme or trolling.

Just go through the comments of this addon and you will see what I mean. It's even worse than that if you read her comments from other addons. It's even in her discord as recently as monday (10/22/18).

She always has an excuse and we all have real life things that get in the way, but she keeps saying "Uploading in the next 1-2 days" and then not uploading anything and its completely ridiculous. If you have an update that close to release why would you never release it, even if it was weeks late due to real life things. Even if that release was outdated due to the game being updated it would still be better than no release at all.

I'm not trying to go after or attack Calia, she has done incredible work for this community in the past. This post probably seems extremely hostile, but that was not my intent. It just annoys me to see someone stringing people along for this long.

I'm going to make some predictions

This addon (and most likely the others) won't be updated any time soon by Calia, probably won't be updated this year at all
She will continue stringing everyone along, constantly saying she is working on something but never releasing anything
She won't bring anyone in to update the addons for her, but will say she added things people make for it to the official version of the addon (which of course won't be released).

I truly hope I'm wrong about everything.

In the past 14 months, I've wrapped up a divorce from an addict (+bonus restraining order for the broken nose he gave me), moved to a new city, and changed jobs. I've also got a 12 year old daughter. Needless to say, I've got a lot going on outside ESO. Point is, everyone has lives outside this stuff, and we write addons in our spare time because we enjoy it, so be nice to the folks who do stuff to help improve ESO.

So, let's back off and let her do her thing when she's ready.

Rather than criticizing me for something I'm doing for free in my spare time, which is not constructive at all, how about you help some of these other people get in touch with me through some of the avenues I'm providing? I've tried reaching out to several of them via ESOUI, with no response.

I've attempted to contact several folks who have posted in threads about code fixes and such, and you'd be surprised at how many people either a) don't allow messages on ESOUI, b) don't allow emails to be sent to them from the site, or c) don't use the same name as they do in game.

I develop these addons in my free time. I have a full time day job, also have a wife, kids and pets. I do not create addons for the purpose of being paid. However, tossing me a few bones eases the stress and frustration after endless hours of "code grinding" because it adds to that feeling of work "paying off". It also helps to say I make money on this when the wife ask why I spend so much time doing it
