Alchemist
An Elder Scrolls Online addon for.. alchemists!

For Update 6 I spent a solid week trying to refactor and find the bug where the keyboard would break.
This is now fixed!

What does it do?

This addon tells you which alchemy reagents (in your current inventory/bank) to combine, and in what order, to discover the maximum number of new traits.

If there's no unknown traits to be discovered, it will tell you that as well.

How does it work?

The addon will activate as soon as you interact with an Alchemy Station. An extra window will open up with a list of optimal reagent combinations, in order.

Temp chat list is sorted at bottom, users need to scroll upward.
Top of the chat leaves a blank space (ugly)



How the escape bug was fixed:
This wasn't a single issue but multiple issues that caused this.
Issue #1, global self in the unicorn library (Removed/Refactored/Renamed and fixed)
Issue #2, too much global variable work going on
Issue #3, and MAJOR THANKS TO Votan
had a global "i" variable inside a table loop and was breaking each time. (Moved to local variable)

Does'nt work in German

It does not work in German.
Display 3 reciepes but no one is correct.
Whole 3 reciepes also explored before Addon.

Benediktenkraut + Drachendorn = Erhöht Waffenkraft (false)
true = Ausdauer

Blauer Glöckling + Wolfsauge = Verringert Magiekraft (false)
true = Leben

Kornblume + Wieseschaumkraut = Erhöht Magiekraft (false)
true = Magicka

Bug or missin recipe?

Hi,

got Clear Water, Nirnroot and Water Hyacinth which make and unkonw recipe for me, but alchemist 0.08 says "No discoveries available."

Enchanting works a bit differently, the first stone determines level and if it adds or removes buff, second determines effect, and third determines quality. So like "Porade Rakeipa Jejota" or "Add Fire Fine" would make an Fine (Green) Inferior (Level 5—15) Glyph of Flame (Weapons). The effects also determine if it is Jewelry, Armor, or Weapon.

Now because of all that, almost any runes can combine, and they only learn one trait each, and you would only need a list of translations to make whatever you want. As in the previous example, replace Rakeipa with Oko and you will get a Fine Inferior Glyph of Health (Armor), or with Okoma for a Fine Inferior Glyph of Health Regen (Jewelry).

Also a little confusing is Additive effects make you do that thing, Subtractive take that thing away from target. So Oko with Additive is you get health, Oko with Subtractive is absorb their health.

I didn't even think to check about that. That is probably true for me too, but I haven't verified it.

I have been experiencing the exact same thing as jnzooger is describing above - it started happening since the latest update.

What I'd like to add for extra information is that it only suggests traits I already have discovered - not a single new one.

Should it help you: my alchemy alt is level 4, doesn't have the Laboratory Use passive yet, and has only been using tier 1 herbs so far.

Yeah. Do you happen to 1. have lots of reagents (e.g. you're lvl25+) and 2. somewhat slow computer? I did some calculations and my current algorithm might simply be too slow to do that for some computers. I already know how to make it faster, but as of this release, it's disabled.
