Due to the release of One Tamriel, ScalingAlert has become obsolete, and is now deprecated. The add-on will no longer be updated following API version 100017. Notice of deprecation is as follows:
Solo and Group Scaling:
All instances are now scaled to the maximum CP level, not the level of the Group leader;
Battle Leveling:
All zones and instances now use battle leveling, and all players are battle-leveled up to maximum CP level;
Dungeon Mode:
The mode of the dungeon you are entering (Normal or Veteran) is now indicated directly on the loading screen.
Thanks to everyone for helping test this add-on! (A shame it never got out of beta...) To avoid future compatibility issues, it is advised that you uninstall ScalingAlert.
ScalingAlert is now located in
Discontinued & Outdated. As such, it will no longer show up in Minion. If you have not yet uninstalled it, this can now only be done by deleting the ScalingAlert folder directly.
If you're interested in what the add-on used to do, see below.

Pop-up notifications on level scaling, including battle-levelled zones, scaled instances, and whether you have entered a Normal or Veteran dungeon mode.
Beta Release:- This is a beta release of the add-on, available to all for testing purposes. While the base features should work to the first degree, there may be issues with certain cases that I have not encountered yet.
- Please help test this add-on, and provide any feedback, bug reports or feature requests in the comments.
Known Issue:- The Dungeon Mode alert feature, which is designed to indicate whether a dungeon is set to Normal or Veteran on entering the dungeon, does not work for certain dungeons which provide nil values for the internal function GetCurrentSubZonePOIIndices, which is required to activate the Dungeon Mode alerts via the function IsPOIGroupDungeon(poiZone, poiIndex).
Testing Requests:- Try out the add-on in a group dungeon, where you are a different level to the group leader.
- Try out the add-on in a scaled instance (solo or group) where you are below the instance's minimum level.
- Try out the add-on in conjunction with the Group Finder tool, to see if it appropriately recognises the Champion Point battle level scaling.
Features:- Alerts when you enter a Battle Level Zone, such as Cyrodiil or Wrothgar, including the level that you have been scaled to, and your original level.
- Alerts when you enter a Scaled Instance, such as a Group Dungeon, including the minimum level of the dungeon, the level it has been scaled to, and your level.
- Alerts for Group Dungeons, Dragonstar Arena and Maelstrom Arena, indicating whether you have entered the Normal or Veteran version of the dungeon.
- Options to select whether or not to show Battle Leveling, Scaled Instances, or Dungeon Mode.
Slash commands:- "/sa show" or "/sa hide": make the window visible so you can move it in mouse pointer mode (default key binding ".")
- "/sa zone": show the scaling details of the current zone (does nothing in a non-scaled zone)
Feel free to provide feedback and suggest features you would like to see.
