SkyShards

Adds map pins for skyshards to the world map and compass.


In-game configuration is in the SETTINGS -> Addon Settings -> SkyShards menu,
or use command /skyshards

How to manually install addon:
  1. Go to the "Elder Scrolls Online" folder in your Documents
    Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\<version>\
    (replace <version> with the client you're using - "live" or "liveeu")
  2. You should find an AddOns folder, if you don't, create one.
  3. Extract the addon from downloaded zip file to the AddOns folder
  4. Log into the game, and in the character creation screen, you'll find the Addons menu. Enable your addons from there.

- "Zone Main Quest" will show unknown SkyShards after completion of Zone Quest Storyline.
- "Wayshrines" will show unknown SkyShards after discovering of all Wayshrines of the zone.
- "Exploration" will show unknown SkyShards after completion of all delves and interesting locations of the zone.
- "Zone Quests" will show unknown SkyShards after completion of a certain amount of quests done in zone.

Please note :
- Because there is no Main Quest in Cyrodiil, Cyro Skyshards will always be shown in this mode.
- Because Wayshrines cannot be all unlocked in Cyrodiil, Cyro Skyshards will always be shown in this mode.
- Because there is no wayshrines in Imperial City, Imperial City Skyshards will always be shown in this mode.
- Craglorn Main Quest and Zone Quest share same conditions.

Hi Guys, I think the add on has become 'out of date'. Pity as I would rank it number one (out of the many I have tried) for my characters the more so until I have got every skyshard.

so, i downloaded all of the additional files and deleted all my addons and reinstalled twice, and while everything seems to be working normally, i can even somewhat find skyshards by moving the cursor around the map and getting it to stop on where one might be, the main issue is that no icons show where those locations are, nor do any icons show on my compass. not sure what i'm doing wrong, or if i'm doing anything wrong, i've uninstalled all of my addons and reinstalled them, reloaded ui several times, rezoned, and nothing seems to fix it. would appreciate some help. thanks. (you see why i'm a tad frustrated that the way the mod is now loaded works? now i have to go through all of this bs just to fix it and still. i mean i understand that many people don't want to load multiple copies of lib files, but the bottom line was it was working before this update - now it doesn't.)

And to whomever sent me gold a day ago, thank you. I was pulling mats from mail and had the expected 3 new ones, pulled in mats, and noticed just as I hit delete on the last one that it's title was Inventory Insight. So, thanks again, whoever you are.

Had the same problem. It's no issue that they appear Out of Date.
Try deleting all addons and reinstalling them leaving the Skyshards last.
Also be sure to restart the game after the changes.

@AssemblerManiac I had to retype this reply like, 5 times before i came to this version of it, because (i'm an idiot for one, as well as) me NOT being a programmer... i did not understand what the lib files actually were, nor did i understand the whole duplicates problem regarding them until i realized that those lib files are universal and multiple mods use those same exact files for certain functions, (oh. i get it now :P) like your skyshards mod and lost treasure maps, another addon that adds a marker to the map for certain acquired loot maps, making it easier to find the actual locations... you get it.

so, basically you were saying separating them from the main file and making them available as an individual set of files should help in regards to technically downloading those files multiple times when using other, similar addons, and hopefully others would adopt this same practice in due time, saving everyone a little more storage space in the end right?

if so, that makes sense, i suppose, and thanks for keeping that in mind for us users, thats kind of you... but correct me if i'm completely wrong and have no idea what i'm talking about. please. XD
You've got it mostly.

When libs are embedded in other addons, it takes up extra space, and extra processing time for the game's script processor to load them, and although code in the addon libs is supposed to pick up the most current, it doesn't always. Also, addon authors that embedded these libs have to keep updating them, in all the addons they maintain. Having them as separate "addons" means that they're loaded only once, authors don't need to do individual updates for every addon they maintain, and there's only one possible version of a given lib. Win-Win in all cases.

Personally, having fewer things to worry about when I release an update to an addon makes life much less stressful.

My folder lib is named *LibMapPins-1.0* and have no subfolder, but contains directly :
LibMapPins-1.0.lua
LibMapPins-1.0.txt

sorry for misinformation i dont know WHY and HOW
but today i decided to troubleshoot this again

and appears that ONLY skyshards+libraries have the same issue as well


i recorded few videos if you need but its easy to reproduce

i manually reinstalled all this addons = still the same
also tested on few accounts
also looks like LibStub missing from Description addon page, its also necessary

P.S.
tested without reloadui, 2 skyshards in a row
1st isnt count
2nd will count

tested more - after teleportation by wayshrine/or not to other location/or inside same location the total count will be corrected by itself

so looks like ANY load screen will fix it

No Icons

So I installed the SkyShards addon today, and all the required libraries as well. When I open the game, and check the addons menu for SkyShards it appears, and everything seems to be working fine. I open the skills menu, and I can see the total count of Skyshards appears to be functioning just fine as well. I open the map, and under the Filters tab I can see options to check or uncheck for both collected and uncollected Skyshards. The problem is that no icons appear on the map for Skyshards. Neither collected nor uncollected.

Checking the main Add-Ons option in the over-menu of the game and SkyShards appears yellow, and LibMapPins-1.0 is out of date.. Is this an issue? Is there a more up to date version of LibMapPins? What do

I was having issue like everyone else. I just finally removed all of the add-ons and re-installed and it is now working fine.
