SkyShards
  • Adds map pins for Skyshards to the world map and compass.
  • Does not override ZOS functionality. Not in Keyboard or Gamepad mode*
*ZOS does not provide a reasonable Gamepad API, consider it unsupported

This addon requires use of the following libraries:
In-game configuration is in the SETTINGS -> Addon Settings -> SkyShards menu,
or use command /skyshards

How to manually install addon:
  1. Go to the "Elder Scrolls Online" folder in your Documents
    Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\<version>\
    (replace <version> with the client you're using - "live" or "liveeu")
  2. You should find an AddOns folder, if you don't, create one.
  3. Extract the addon from downloaded zip file to the AddOns folder
  4. Log into the game, and in the character creation screen, you'll find the Addons menu. Enable your addons from there.

- Added an Immersive mode which will permit you to automatically disable unknown SkyShard spoil based on your character accomplishment on zone
- Per default, this feature is disabled. The difficulty is sorted by the entries order, "Zone Quests" is the hardest success to achieve.

- "Zone Main Quest" will show unknown SkyShards after completion of Zone Quest Storyline.
- "Wayshrines" will show unknown SkyShards after discovering of all Wayshrines of the zone.
- "Exploration" will show unknown SkyShards after completion of all delves and interesting locations of the zone.
- "Zone Quests" will show unknown SkyShards after completion of a certain amount of quests done in zone.

Please note :
- Because there is no Main Quest in Cyrodiil, Cyro Skyshards will always be shown in this mode.
- Because Wayshrines cannot be all unlocked in Cyrodiil, Cyro Skyshards will always be shown in this mode.
- Because there is no wayshrines in Imperial City, Imperial City Skyshards will always be shown in this mode.
- Craglorn Main Quest and Zone Quest share same conditions.

Version number was missed, but the addon was really updated.

v10.2 will have proper version number showing up.

Don't know if this has been answered before:


Enabled SkyShards 10.1 and it's showing up in-game, however, the icons/pins are not showing up? I've tried using the previous versions 10, 9, 8 and it's the same story; icons/pins don't show up on my map.

Bewan still not fixed
It's currently in the wrong data set (summerset instead of auridon). It'll be correct in the next update.

It should be something like Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\SkyShards\Icons

there is maybe a folder too much on your side.
There are some limitations to the number of icons that can be used in the system at the same time. What happens if you disable all the addons except Skyshards?

I just finished my testing though all of Summerset. Here's my list of fixes, just put this at line 1521 of SkyShardsData.lua.

The zone and subzone is actually parsed from the path of the map texture files. Here's the function in LibMapPins that gets them. Looking at it, this function could be easily broken. There are a couple tweaks I could do to it to make it run better too.

It was meant as a temporary solution. Side effects would be shards showing up on floors that have it hanging out in empty space, but removing it would take it off the compass for those floors too.

I noted that as well in my list. The servers went down for maintenance before I could visit all the areas. I'll continue looking into it tomorrow.

I have a modified version of SkyShards_GetLocalData() that *should* fix most of these issues if the pattern I'm seeing with them is correct. This won't fix traitorsvault03_base which needs the key changed to traitorsvault04_base on line 1517.

lua Code:

This tries to grab the subzone as given first, if it doesn't find it, it replaces the floor number with _base and looks for that.

You can go that approach, the method I implemented copies the pointer to the same table rather than making duplicate tables. When it comes to static data like this, it isn't that big of a deal, but it does in a small way use up more memory than what I posted.

I'll investigate Traitor's Vault and see if it has the same floor issues as Tor-Hame-Khard or if it's just a renamed map.

Apparently, the game uses both torhamekhard_01 and torhamekhard_02 for inside the delve. To fix this, add these lines in SkyShardsData.lua, line 1521.

Before you update Maniac, I've bad News ... The same Problem we have here with *Tor-Hame-Khard* 1 and 2 we also have with *Traitor's Vault* ..!

In the Code right now you can find "traitorsvault03_base"... But ingame atm /mypos showed me "traitorsvault04_base"..! So the question before updating now is - are there only xxx03 and xxx04 or are there also xxx01 and xxx02 .?!
