Its for Wykkyd's Quest Tracker, which is way better than MQT. I uninstalled MQT as soon as i installed Wykkyd's QT. Read the title in the picture, its says its for Wykkyd's.

Yeah Opacity settings don't work at all! And they need too! I do want a background but I want 100% text.
They need to be separated and actually work when you set the opacity. |

Hi! Would it be hard to add a line break to the addon? Kinda annoying when the objetive text or the hints countinues outside the background. :/

WOW, didnt realize it would get posted and get so many replies lol.
This was absolutely a "I am using it" thing and I just wanted to share it in case someone else wanted to play around. I can definitely tweak this further however seeing there is some interest. Ideally I would love the changes to get incorporated to the awesome original =) I did minimize the "opacity" option a bit. I was also using MQT and loved the tweakable nature, but it was buggy and the author was not responding, AND, this one had the other features I wanted to include like collapsible quests, quest level, etc... SO here is a breakdown of what I did with the options: Title (font, style, size, color) all affect the +/- header text. I will probablly change that to ZONE since those are the world ZONE(s) the quests are. Perhaps break them out into their own ? settings? The settings above (style, size, font) also affect the actual Quest Entry i.e. [XX] Quest Name but NOT it's color, that is driven by the difficulty colors. The objective entry affects the "flavor" text beneath i.e. quest objective text. The "Background" entry uses the color selected as the "background color" of the frame holding all the text. The "ALPHA" entry on that color picker controls how much said color is faded in/out. The Mouseout Alpha determines how opaque the entire window is when the mouse exits the frame. IOW, if you want it to be 100% visible at all times, set this to 100. If you want it to disappear when you move the mouse away from the frame, set it to 0. The Quest levels (worthless, easy, normal and hard) are all tied to the (currently) hardcoded numbers of: -5 under level == Worthless -3 under level == Easy on level == Normal +3 == Hard The reason you dont see them "update" I think because I never hooked the "level changed" event to refresh the window <-- definately will add this As for the text running past the size of the window, yes, I agree, totally annoying. Problem is, the text can be scaled to a wacky size, and the "control" doesnt seem to have an auto-wrap feature. I am sure it is in there someplace, just haven't dug for it <-- will look for this too, since I have a few that run off the frame. I will clean up the wording and hint text on these as well. Glad to see ppl want it, I certainly did =) |

Set the mouse out alpha to 100 and set the background color to 0, 0, 0, 255 The 255 in the color is for the transparency of the black background. The mouse out alpha is how opaque the entire window will be when the mouse exits the frame. The above will make a solid black background that no longer fades when the mouse is not over the tracker i.e. permanent window. |

Updated the patch.
Hopefully a little more clear. I was unable to fix the text running off the frame (*yet) but at least you no longer are required to "reload" after some changes. I also regrouped how the quest level colorization happens, and provided an "toggle" to use the built in default level colorization or your own overrides. Keep the ideas and bugs commin. Cheers. |
