It sets the chat to full transparency (or damned near it) and either I'm blind, or there is no way to change it. Even other addons (pchat/rchat) can't force it darker. I keep my chat as opaque as it will go, because otherwise I strain to see it. If there's any way to at least offer a checkbox to disable that override, that would be great. I have other thoughts/ideas if you're interested in hearing them, but that was something that made me disable for now.

Awesome! Thanks so much for the quick fix!

ETA: though it does seem that everything in the chat is duplicated now. I get two lines for every message, one modified by the settings in advanced chat and one not.

Example:
© Say: [cp405]@Dutch0421: this is a test of advanced chat in Bandit UI
[12:12] Raven The De-Composer: this is a test of advanced chat in Bandit UI

EDIT #2: And now it's stopped. Logged out and back in, on a different toon, (and account) and it's gone. So maybe just a glitch in the game itself?

It simply disappears and never shows up in the chat window. And /zone is colored the same as /say is shown in Settings->Social (ie, by default white, but if I go change /say color to anything else, what is said in /zone is now shown in that color). Looks like maybe we have an "off by one" error? I turned addons on and off until I found that chat tab selector is the one doing it. Disabling advanced features fixes it, but it also pretty much eliminates the only reason I use chat tab selector. I'm hoping there's an update soon to fix this?

I also had problem with the messages in the Group chat: they appear as code rather than simple messages.

Исправлено. Да дело было в настройках. И раз уж у тебя выключено "Remember messages" то рекомендую,- весьма полезная функция.

Проверил. Все норм. Попробуй переустановить.

Насколько я понял из кода, садиться чат должен на 17 пункт меню.
Переустановил аддон чата через Minion со сносом сохраненных значений.
Не помогло, не появился в меню. При этом Телепорт и прочие плюшки в меню появились.
Может что скажет:
Вчера, когда пытался заставить заработать чат, выключил его в настройках, потом отключил через меню аддонов в игре

Что еще может нужно переставить?
Библиотека LibAddonMenu-2.0 установлена.
