Arkadius' Trade Tools  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 2.0.0
by: Arkadius, Aldanga, Verbalinkontinenz
Arkadius' Trade Tools is a modular framework with the goal to provide traders with useful trading tools and information and to help trade guild masters managing their guilds. Each added module will extend the functionality of ATT in some way. Modules come as their own addons and can therefore simply be deactivated via the addons menu if not needed.

Currently there are the following modules:
  • Sales
    • Visual: Tabbed window
    • Functionality: Collects sales from the player's guilds and displays them as a list which can be filtered in various ways. The information gained from these sales is used in multiple ways:
      • Guild rosters are extended by two additional columns, Purchases and Sales, which display the particular volume per guild member and selected time frame
      • Item tooltips are extended by the average price and a graph displaying the price development. The time frame for these calculations (1-30 days) can manually be selected.
      • Item price statistics can be inserted into chat. For non-English clients there is an option to post the statistics in English.
      • When browsing guild stores, listings also display the average price of the given item, so the player can see if it's over or underpriced

Sales are stored for up to 30 days, depending on per-guild user settings. Most features can be enabled or disabled in the user settings.

  • Purchases
    • Visual: Tabbed window
    • Functionality: Saves purchases the player makes from guild traders and displays them as a list. This module may especially be useful for resellers to remember what they paid for a particular item. Purchases can be saved for up to 30 days.

  • Statistics
    • Visual: Tabbed window
    • Functionality: Allows other modules to send in statistic information which is then displayed as an assembled list. (currently only used by Sales)

  • Exports
    • Visual: Tabbed window
    • Functionality: Allows saving of guild-level sales data for export to CSV.

The community is free to write additional modules. Currently following external modules are known:
  • My Donation:
    • Adds a tabbed window which tracks your own deposits into guildbanks (up to 365 days) and enhances your overview, whether you met a guilds requirement not only on the sales side.

Currently supported languages:
  • English
  • German
  • French
  • Russian

Slash commands:
  • /att
Toggle the visiblity of the main window

Addtional notes:
  • All data is stored per megaserver

Current Todo List/Feature Requests:
  • Adding craft cost support for more master writ types.
  • More customization for Deal Finder (margin, total sales, etc.)
  • Review of how writs are priced. Currently this is done by type and quality, but certain event writs don't really price well using that model. Traits and style mats can significantly impact craft cost, which can also affect price.
  • Review and rework of the sales window checkboxes as they provide information of limited value since the guild history API changes.
  • Investigate removing outliers from visible sales data. This could severely impact performance negatively, so no promises on this one.

Many thanks to my NA alpha testers, who catch way too many bugs and provide great feedback and feature suggestions:

Yes but from what I have been reading people are not using the reset cache feature only when what you mentioned happens.

Some of the comments I have seen imply people are using the clear cache feature on any char where they have the notification that events are not linked. Which isn't going to help the situation.

What are you actively doing? It was highly recommended to interact with the guild history before Update 41 and now it is even more important. Not because I said so but because the server has a minimum of 2 minutes for the cooldown and as the author of LibHistoire has mentioned it can be 5 minutes or more. That's not a mod issue.

Clearing the ZOS binary cache only clears the data from the ZOS binary file which is not necessary. When you do that then you have to manually request it all again. I have explained a few things in the LibHistoire comments and provided images as well. Only clear the cache if you go to guild history and you can not click the forward arrows to go forward a few days without pressing E Show More.

So as a rule of thumb

- Update to ATT 2.0.0
- Update to LibHistoire 2.0.7
- Manually Request all the data available from the server: https://esouimods.github.io/3-master...ngGuildHistory
- Set the categories you want to ignore to Force Off

1) Switch chars, and press G for Guild History, look at each Guild for Trader and when the bars are green then do what you want
2) Because you know you have all the data simply ignore the notification for now.

For the second option it relies on the fact that you actively requested all of the data from the server at least once. Currently if I go all the way to the last day of data, I am on 17 days.

Read the LibHistoire comments, the author has done what he can until the next incremental patch. He is also working toward reducing when the notification pops up.

For those Frustrated about ATT using LibHistoire

I'm concerned with all the complaints about LibHistoire being added to ATT. If it had not been added you would still be waiting for a functional ATT. I would hope more people would be appreciative that Aldanga took the time (when he said his time was limited) to provide a new version.

For those that switched from MM to ATT to avoid the notification, it was added because people would not have all the data they were missing and log out prematurely. Leading to many situations where a user needed more than 10 days of data. Prior to Update 41 the server only kept 10 days of data. Any time you were missing more than 10 days you would have a gap in data that could not be filled. The most extreme case being 120 days and the average around 30 days.

If those that have felt LibHistoire added extra steps, that is incorrect.

There are plenty of changes (new, extra steps) because of update 41 for example, there is a small image now that says

To keep people from mashing the E key.

The minimum cooldown for requesting data from the server is 2 minutes. That doesn't mean it can't end up being longer if the server is very active. The author of LibHistoire recently mentioned the cooldown times are 2 to 5+ minutes. You can read it in his comments if you like. That means, at 2 minutes 20 requests, would be 40 minutes and 20 requests at 5 minutes would be, 100 minutes.

Users have complained about receiving data automatically for years now. It's not the mods. ATT didn't receive data differently prior to Update 41 than LibHistoire because mods have to use the same functions to obtain Guild History data.

As I always said with MM, if you want your data, log in, open guild history, manually request your data, and once you have your data you can log in and out to your hearts content and do writs or whatever else you would like to do. Once all the bars are green you won't have the notification.

If you have been using ATT to avoid having to do anything, expecting to log in, do writs for an hour, never open or touch the Guild History UI at all, then that assumes the server is going to agree with your expectations.

As long as you do everything correctly, don't clear the ZOS binary cache when you don't need to, don't button mash the mouse and switch categories, wait when you see the spinning circle and Retrieving Information, ignore the categories you don't need by setting them to Force Off, then you can get all the bars to be green in a few minutes for all 5 guilds.

I replied to this in the LibHistoire comments section.

If you see that notification you wouldn't use the Clear Cahce feature from the LibHistoire UI. All that does is reset the ZOS binary cache for that category and then you are forced to manually request it all again.

The only time you should use the Clear Cahce feature is when you are on the Trader tab, and you go forward a few pages, and you see potentially 4 hours of data, but there are no arrows and E Show More is not showing. Because for most trading guilds they should have more than 4 hours of data. The cache is stuck so clear it. However, don't do that every time you log in.

The cache will calm down if you simply go slowly. I only reset the cache a few times.

Once all the data is loaded into LibHistoire, open up ATT, and resync it's data with LibHistoire using the first icon on the upper right of ATT's normal page (not in the settings). It looks like a circle, 'Refresh Data From LibHistoire'.

(I thought it was in add-on settings, but it was on the normal ATT page).

The new guild history system is not working smoothly, as you've noticed, and needs some TLC to make it work. Some of this will be due to problems in the API itself, some will be due to the new code in LibHistoire, and no doubt some in ATT's new code (although to be fair, I've only run into the first two so far). Things should settle down as both ESO itself and the add-ons get updates.

One other problem, which you probably haven't discovered yet, is that sales downloaded via the new guild API can't be de-duplicated against older sales, because the identifiers are different now. So either you will have 10 days of duplicated sales, or you will need to purge older sales data.
That didn't actually do anything to change the situation. The sales page is still empty and the others work fine. Checking what's in LibHistorie this morning, it DOES go back to Mar 1st, which is how far back i scraped yesterday. However, it did nothing when i logged in. It was still waiting for some request to be sent. It did eventually update on its own, so yay. But still no sales, even after refreshing a second time (now that ATT was linked to guild history). I might add, when I synced, the chat message said it was not missing any sales in any guilds. Well, that it knew of, which is bizarre....

Most likely to be LibHistoire not being able to load the guild history data for some reason.

The first step is to confirm LibHistoire has loaded all the data.

If you go to the guild history page, select one of the other guilds (a small one), then select trading history. First try manually loading extra history by clicking '>' at the bottom of the page (just to the right of the page number) until you reach the end of history, and it offers you 'E' to load more.

If that works, then continue until you have loaded all trading history for all guilds.

If it does not work (you cannot click '>' or load extra history), then right-click 'clear cache' on the LibHistoire cogwheel for trading history, and then go through the above procedure to load all the data for that guild.

Once all the guild trading data has been loaded for all guilds, then hopefully it will have been picked up by ATT. If it has not, then go into Settings / Addons / ATT, and find the option to resync with LibHistoire (I forget what it is called). Click that, and ATT should now load everything up from LibHistoire.

--- Edit:

To get ATT to resync it's data with LibHistoire, it's actually the first icon on the upper right of ATT's normal page (not in the settings). It looks like a circle, 'Refresh Data From LibHistoire'.
Yes, refreshing the data by clicking on the icon in the top right corner of the Arkadius window works. However, I encountered a lot of errors because of LibHistoire, so I deleted all the data from any trading addon in the SavedVariables, except for the bought data, and that seems to be working better now.

There are still some issues with the new guild history, and sometimes it doesn't return all of the data ATT needs, or it's somehow delayed. The ATT window has a status icon at the bottom for each guild which can help you know what's going on, and LinHistore has a details window which can provide more context.

If anyone runs into issues, please verify that the game has loaded history for sales in each guild's tab and that the ATT status icon shows it's not waiting for LibHistoire. If everything looks good or you're not seeing changes after sales have loaded and LH has linked, please post full details here including whether on NA or EU.

Hopefully we can put together some guidance on what different scenarios mean (server issue, LH issue, ATT issue) and what to do to help people get the data they need.
NA server. I've logged on again since this morning when i posted an update to the issues i was having. None of the guild sales history pages in guild history have the linked icon until I let it sit and try to start scraping data... it doesn't succeed, but at least it gets the linked icon when i start doing it manually.

The first thing i noticed after uninstall/reinstall this morning is that the only LibHistorie file in minion is LibHistorie - Guild History (pretty sure it was JUST LibHistorie yesterday?).

But... in any case, even after having manually scraped all the sales data into LibHistorie this morning, not only did it NOT automatically scrape data when i logged in just now, but it had forgotten everything that i had done manually this morning. It had sales history of just the time i logged in to the time i clicked on the guild history tab to see what LibHistorie was doing (no linked icon... i had to make it do that again by manually scraping data). I had to manually scrape all the data again. And even then, the sales tab in ATT is still blank.

In otherwords, not only no changes since this morning, but the changes i made this morning didn't "stick"
