I'm not certain, however, I found that an incorrect/unofficial version of LibAddonMenu was shipping with a few of my Add-Ons.

I've republished all of them with the official version of LibAddonMenu.

Hopefully this resolves the issue, if not you may need to get in touch with 'Combat Cloud' authors as well.

I understand how to hook/redirect the messages, but I need to understand better how the chat containers (tabs) are allocated and configured, which I haven't really got into yet. Right now I'm still working against CHAT_SYSTEM to access the primary 'Chat' Tab (as are most developers.)

Usually with this sort of request I explicitly avoid offering any info with the hope that, at some point, I'll be able to do it. But don't want to commit to doing or not doing it until I know more. To do this right I'll likely need to hook settings into the default UI (done proper), I personally don't see why it couldn't be done, but again there may be some detail I'm unaware of that makes it impossible.

I'll look into it

I don't know if this is possible but I would like to submit a feature request. Usually the first thing I do in a new MMO is create a new chat tab and then adjust the filters so that the secondary tab catches all loot/NPC related spam to get it out of the main tab. The default UI allows new tabs but there are no filters for any sort of system related messages so they always go to the primary tab. I tried creating a new tab and putting everything else in it except system messages which sorta works but the game wants to always default to the primary tab so I have to constantly keep switching it back.

Is it possible to add system/loot related message filters to any tab?

Hey there!

I just wanted to report that your 12 hour timestamps are a little strange.

For example, it is 5:30 PM right now locally, but the timestamps are reading as things like -7:30:00 PM. This is true for all the of the times past noon.

Timestamps for the hours of 1:00 AM to 12:00 PM are correct (as they don't technically change between 24 and 12 hour formats) but as mentioned everything else is showing as some strange negative number rather than the actual time.

Hmm, I think this would be an issue with ESO or another Add-On.

You might try moving the mouse out and then back in to the chat box area to get around it?
this never happened until today and if i remember right didn't an update for this addon come out? Also i posted an error message i started getting when i first logged in today.

Thanks!
By default chat text fades after 25 seconds unless any of the following occur:

1. New chat is received from someone, such as Zone, Say, Whisper or Guild.
2. You move the mouse over the Chat Window.
3. You use the Chat Entry (to enter commands, etc.)
4. You Switch to Cursor Mode (switching from using Reticle to using the Mouse.)

If you enter into an empty instance, like Spindleclutch, and wait 25 seconds where nobody is chatting the chat text should fade out.

I did look for a way to change this behavior but gave up after an hour. I will make another attempt to find a way to change it at some point, I can see how some users may prefer to not have text visible at all unless hey are interacting with a chat container.
Thanks for looking into it, yeah I think it would be smoother if the text faded at the same time as the chat frame. Thanks. And if not maybe lower the time down to 10sec or so, if possible.
