Thanks!
By default chat text fades after 25 seconds unless any of the following occur:

1. New chat is received from someone, such as Zone, Say, Whisper or Guild.
2. You move the mouse over the Chat Window.
3. You use the Chat Entry (to enter commands, etc.)
4. You Switch to Cursor Mode (switching from using Reticle to using the Mouse.)

If you enter into an empty instance, like Spindleclutch, and wait 25 seconds where nobody is chatting the chat text should fade out.

I did look for a way to change this behavior but gave up after an hour. I will make another attempt to find a way to change it at some point, I can see how some users may prefer to not have text visible at all unless hey are interacting with a chat container.

Closest thing is at the bottom as "Disable Friend Status Messages".

However, by default ESO does not notify you when "Guild Member Online Status" changes, if you see this in your game then there's probably another Add-On that is adding it. It's not actually ESO.
You were totally correct, it was Thurisaz Guild Info; thanks for making me digger a little deeper... Much better now! lol

Actually, such a feature would be nice to have. Guild Member status changes in X4D Chat. Maybe it could show the Guild Abbreviation/Number in front of the name, so you know from which guild.

Great addon so far. I installed all your X4D* addons.

First off I love this addon, simply for the fact I can finally stretch my chat window out, so amazing. I had a feature request that I'm not sure are possible or not so I figure I would ask

- would it be possible to fully disable the background on chat, even when you hit enter to type I do t want to see the background

I'm just wondering if that's possible because it's the last thing that irks me about the chat. Love your addons keep up the great work!

Talking v1.18 - "12 Hour" Timestamp Format

The Options UI was touched up, and I've added a dropdown for Timestamps to select:

1. Disabled
2. 24 Hour Format
3. 12 Hour Format

Hope this is what you were looking for.

Thumbs up Re: Charname

It will do this for Guild Chat, there is a setting in the Options UI. Simply enable both the Player Name and Character Name options at the same time, and make sure you've updated to the latest version.

It does not currently do this for non-Guild chat channels (mainly because I didn't see a way to derive a Player Name from a Character Name in the APIs.) I'll see what I can do for non-Guild chat when I have spare time.

That's usually minion being buggy.

Is it possible to make it so the chat window shows both account name AND character name?

A similar issue was reported with another Add-On and we suspect that Minion is the cause. Still not sure why as I don't use Minion.
