Edit: Still working fine, but I'm just here to comment how funny it is that High Isle is actually adding additional quickslot wheels, including one for emotes. Well, that means even more emotes for me.

awesome! I already have an idea how to integrate this features as an option. I'm currently working on gradually reworking and improving existing features. But I am confident that I will find time for this in the next few updates. |

Wonderful Addon - Feature Requests?
I apologize, first, if these abilities is already present and I've been too dense to notice it -
First, I would love to be able to access personality-exclusive emotes with one click/command. For instance, if one has the Telvanni Magister personality equipped, they could click a shortcut and select the Dutchess Preen emote, then go back to Magister when the emote ended or was cancelled. Even if automatically resetting the personality would be too technically challenging, I would greatly appreciate having a function to switch personalities and engage an emote without multiple clicks or commands. Secondly, it would be neat to be able to set an emote as 'default idle'. I'm not familiar enough with ESO's client to know how much of the user's input is easily exposed to addon, but I would love to be able to have an emote play automatically when I stopped walking/running. Ah, I'm so tired from running around I automatically go /breathless! Anyway, thank you for your hard work, this addon has been great and continues to be so. :3

Re: Wonderful Addon - Feature Requests?
Hello kleinlowe,
thank you for your really good ideas. For the first part, I'm afraid I have to tell you that this would indeed only be possible via many workarounds and not in a clean way. For example, there is no way to query the duration of emotes. There is also still no method that I know of for interrupting emotes. Regarding the second part: There is already an addon with which you can change the idle animation. It is called "Custom Idle Animation" and is compatible with LovelyEmotes. However, I don't know if it has all the features you want. If this is not the case (and I eventually find the time to complete the revision of LovelyEmotes) we could see if emotes after certain actions can be implemented satisfactorily as an extension. |

emote cooldown
Please add a cooldown to using emotes via keybinds. People are using this addon to spam emotes literally every second in populated areas.

Re: emote cooldown
Hi xenofixus, thank you for your suggestion. I would first like to say that I personally don't really have an opinion on whether emotes should be spammed or not, as this is a normal feature of the game.
The answer: It would be easy to add an internal cooldown for running emotes in LovelyEmotes, but I don't think this would have the effect you want. Because in the end, a simple "if" query would prevent the execution, and since the code is clearly readable, anyone can easily remove that line again and continue spamming (and I'm convinced that's exactly what would happen). A more consistent solution to this would be for the developers of TESO to implement a cooldown of some sort for running emotes. However, they have not done this so far. From that point of view, I would guess that it's not a problem. Mementos, for example, cannot be spammed because they have a cooldown. If you want, you can try to contact ZeniMax and tell them your suggestion. Maybe you are not the only person who has problems with this? |

Start Minimized
I understand why you wouldn't want this as the initial default, but can you please make Start Minimized turn on after the first run??? It's a pretty large window that isn't used very often, after all.

Option to disable menu at startup?
@ShinyBones, could you add an update to this that lets us toggle off the startup menu? Every time I load my character, the menu screen pops up and there is no way to disable that. It takes up so much screen space too. Other than that, great mod!

Re: Option to disable menu at startup?
there is already an option to start the main window minimized. To find the option, type "/lesettings" in the chat. The options menu of LovelyEmotes will open. Scroll down a bit and search for "Start Minimized" and activate this option. If you need further help, feel free to ask. |

Hi,
/teebawarmup and /spyglass are confirmed looped. I don't plan on getting /palelord but judging by the preview and previous seat emote behaviour, it's most likely also looped. |

Suggestion
I recently stumbled across Circonians EmoteIt and it looks amazing for some dynamic flare when typing in the chat box.
However it's really out of date and because of this I can't configure it for how I want to use it I was wondering if you would be willing to incorporate this kind of function into this addon? Giving us the ability to set up keyword triggers to play emotes when we type in the chat box. I was trying to set up triggers for phrases like "over here" using /beckon and "hey" using /wave before I realised I couldn't get this to work for anything other than the /Emote channel due to the addon menu drop down being broken. They work brilliantly when I tested them in my house using the /Emote channel, but I'd really like these working in any of the chat boxes including /Zone. I don't RP with others so I don't use /Emote

Re: Suggestion
Hello Teknikah,
thank you very much for your suggestion. This is a very good idea and would fit well into LovelyEmotes. I already saw that you found a working alternative. Nevertheless, I will keep this in mind and am not averse to it if the alternative is no longer developed. |

Re: Re: Suggestion
Thank you for your consideration
AutoEmote is pretty good. However it's not particularly user friendly as you have to set up all your triggers in the notepad document. It can be a little bit confusing to get these set up right. They do provide instructions, but if you've never done it before it's still a little bit of learning to get it right. I liked that the other addon that no longer works had an in game menu to set them up. The last update was 2020 I think but it still works. If it stops working, thank you for being open to adding the function to your addon ♥ |
