Hello ShinyBones,
A great addition for your addon could be to add the possibility to launch personnalities with shortcuts. It is always boring to have to enter Appearance menu to activate/deactivate them. |

Awesome addon!
Could you add a checkbox to hide the selection window completely? I installed it just for the keyboard hotkeys to Greet people quickly. And I play in "Immersive" mode heh. As a temporary measure, I changed line 305 of SettingsMenu.lua to let me "hide" it by putting alpha to 0 (instead of min 25), but I'm not sure if that's the best way to do it really. Code:
min = 0,

Hi Phuein, I'm glad you like it.
There is already a possibility to hide the window completely. You don't have to change anything. In the game there is a slider in the LovelyEmotes settings menu called "Visibility (Minimized)". If you set this slider to a value less than 10, the window will be deactivated when minimized. Also don't forget to activate the option "Start Minimized". EDIT: With version 4.7 it is no longer possible to hide the minimized window with the visibility slider. Instead, a separate setting is now available.

Hi, just saw you also included update of libaddonmenu in the change log. Do you plan on making it so the dependencies are on standalone libs instead of included ones?
Also thanks for the personality thingy, about to try it just now. Whoever thought of it is a genius. |

Move Tab?
I like the visibility settings lot. Like how you can change the transparency.
But, would it be possible to make the minimized window moveable and then able to lock it in place? Where it currently sits is okay, but I'd really love to be able to move it into the upper left hand corner of my screen. Being able to somewhat resize the minimized window would be great, too. Thank you so much for this addon!! |

I will not remove the dependency, but i will change it from embedded code to embeddes standalone to get the benefit of the tag ##AddOnVersion. So far I did not know about that feature. But in context of your request I have taken a closer look at the discussion on the internet and I have come to the conclusion that there is no valid argument to remove this dependency completely. LibAddonMenu is very small, only 48kb packed. So no argument. LibAddonMenu uses ##AddOnVersion, so the addon is not loaded multiple times. Only there is a parsing, which is probably negligible. So no argument again. There is a crucial reason why I will ship it with my addon: The usability. Neither minion nor eso offer sufficient handling for missing dependencies. But I want a user to be able to download my addon and use it immediately, without having to worry about any dependencies.
you can lock and unlock the positions of the windows with the "Lock" button in the maximized window. If the lock is displayed as open, you can minimize the window and move the cursor over the free background of the minimized window. As soon as the border of the window turns green, you can drag it. How can I understand your desire for resizing? Would you like to make the button even smaller or bigger? (This is a serious question)

I think the problems that different addons support different versions of LibAddonMenu will always exist as long as developers don't adapt their addon to the latest versions of LibAddonMenu. Otherwise you are using an older version of LibAddonMenu and some addons are already adapted to the changes of newer versions and therefore didn't work. But I understand what you mean and want to support your point of view as much as I can. I will make changes so that with the next update you can easily delete the LibAddonMenu folder under the "Dependencies" folder without any problems. However, if you delete it with every update it will reappear. |
