What is it?
This addon adds an information bar on the screen, chocked full of information gadgets that update in real-time. Gadgets can be easily dragged and dropped in whatever order you prefer, you can set thresholds, go practically textless, allowing the icons themselves to tell you what you need to know. There are tons of options to configure each gadget.

Main Features
  • The Elder Bar can be unlocked, dragged, and dropped wherever you'd like it.
  • Individual gadgets can be unlocked, dragged, and dropped in any order.
  • It's actually two bars in one: you can have different icons on the bar while playing PvE content than you do in PvP.
  • Every gadget has options to display information however you like it. Want to go without text at all? Go for it! Want to set custom thresholds to warn you about weapon charges? Sure, it does that too. Want things to pester you when your durability goes too low? It can even handle that.
  • Timers can be automatically hidden when not in use. No need to clutter up the bar if you're not actually researching things, waiting for a cooldown timer, or you're not a vampire, right?
  • Every gadget has a tooltip that can display even more information, just by pointing at it with the mouse.
  • The Elder Bar can hide itself automatically, if that's your thing. Choices include talking to NPCs, visiting the bank, crafting, and more.
  • The bar can be scaled from 50% to 150% of it's normal size. You can also set bar opacity and the font.
  • Want to know when you're actually in combat? An optional setting turns the bar red when you are in combat.
  • Track mount training times across multiple characters. You can choose whether to track a character or not. Automatically stops tracking characters with mounts at maximum.
  • Track gold across multiple characters. You can choose whether to track a character or not.
  • Icons come in two variations: classic white and color. All icons have been fine-tuned to match. You won't find a mismatch assortment of colored icons, which makes seeing what's going on that much easier.
  • Sometimes coloring text just isn't enough to grab your attention. There are six different pulse settings to draw your attention to gadgets, when a critical threshold has been met: fade in, fade out, fade in/out, slow blink, fast blink, or none.

* Fixed an issue that prevented champion points from displaying properly in the level gadget when the player was below level 50 (thanks fostot!).

I'll take a look at all this. I did notice some leftover code when I split up the gold/TC/Writs/Telvar Stones that I accidentally left in. I've since removed it, so that will be fixed in the next version. I think if you turn off Telvar Stones, it also turns off Writs and TC.

Bank Space shouldn't be difficult to add.

Howdy, Drakanwulf. It's funny you mention that, because the version I released just today does just that! I also replaced the text I was using to detect filled, empty, and crown soul gems with the proper item IDs (and using GetItemId(bag, slot)) to properly detect them in any language (hopefully).

Hi all, I’ll be releasing a new version tomorrow that will fix issues with the addon crashing on French and German clients. It may also fix the issue with soul gems, as I changed how they are detected.

I have a few questions. Is that inventory window your characters inventory or the bank inventory? Do any of the display styles display anything? Which display style are you using there in that screenshot?

Yes, I noticed that too. I wouldn’t be using any of that code, just seeing how it’s displayed on the bar more or less.

Hello,

After the update 1.13, the new currencies toggles are great, thank you for that.
The new shard gadget is nice too and works like a charm, I definitely use it. Is there an option in the API to track the remaining shards to get in the current zone ? If yes, is it possible to add this option ? Something like "remaining" and "remaining/unspent points" can be nice to have too. (But I know, I can also open my map and see the ones I don't have yet, but I'm a slacker )

For the soulgems gadget, I have tested the different options and it does not seem to track the normal filled gems, as we can see on this screencap' :

That would be great if you could do that! One word of caution however. The version of Wykkyds Toolbar I use is one updated by someone other than the original creator. This version has Jewelry Research added. This version causes my UI to mess up and become bugged as in missing elements and non functional, at random times. I have to /reloadui to clear it. I feel it is something to do with the code added for Jewelry Research (maybe the icon used on the toolbar?).

Hi, thanks for your interest. I have been looking into research timers and I believe I can implement them without much trouble. I'll take a look at Wykkyds Toolbar and see what kind of options it provides for formatting, etc.

I've got the next release sort of in-progress, so I'll try to add it in the version after that.

Research Timers

I have been using Wykkyds Toolbar but it no longer seems to be being updated by its creator. I would like to replace it with your toolbar but you do not have research timers. Could you please look into adding these?

I can certainly look into it. I'm working with someone else to translate the addon to German, as well.

I have taken some time this afternoon and discovered a different way of determining which class you are playing, so the addon will at least not crash now. I will do some testing over the next few days and release an update by Friday.

can you make an directory with langs and by default the english file,
so we (others langages) can create one for us with our langage ?
