Advanced Filters - Monster sets filter plugin  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 0.0.9
by: Baertram [More]
This is a filter plugin for the dynamic filters dropdown of the "Advanced Filters - Updated" addon.
It will allow you to
-only show items that belong to a monster set
-only show items that don't belong to a monster set

The plugin shows 1 scrollable submenu with nested submenus for each new 1st letter of a setName.
The first submenu contains a "Show all monster sets" entry.

This plugin needs "AdvancedFilters UPDATED" + the library "LibSets" to work!
-> Please update to the newest versions!
[b]BE SURE TO UPDATE the libraries LibSets, LibScrollableMenu and the addon AdvancedFilters-Updated to the newest version![b]

0.0.9 2024-04-02
-Updated API and dependency versions
-Removed the multiple submenus (characters A to F, etc.)
-Added 1 scrollable submenu with nested submenus for each new 1st letter of a setName
-Bugfixes and performance improvements

0.0.8 2023-01-30
-Fixed version in manifest txt file
-Fixed missing translation error

0.0.7
Fixed a wrong table in the "All monster sets" entry.

0.0.6
-API version updated
-Total rewrite of the code
-Fixed bugs in translations and lua error message at startup
-Language file support
-Sets submenus grouped by each 5 starting-characters (set name) of the alphabet now
-Submenu shows unclickable headline for the starting set name character

Please update AdvancedFilters to the newest version and LibSets as well!

0.0.3
Fixed:
-If library LibSets is missing in the correct version this plugin won't load anymore
-If library data of LibSets is missing (monster sets) the plugin will start the scan of the sets data, showing you that the data was initiated by this addon here, and show a reloadui popup box afterwards. Please do the reloadui, because without the setsdata will NOT be saved properly to the SavedVariables and this plugin won't work!

0.0.2
Fixed: Plugin will only work if LibSets set data is given properly now. No lua error message anymore

Select all monster sets from drop down, right click the drop down and choose invert.
Works for each filter, the invert.

Oh!

That's lovely, I had no idea about this feature! Many thanks

I have one more question though. Is there a way to only filter the monster set from the undaunted chest/final bosses?

I can see all the dropped sets.

Cheers!

No.
You will need to select the needed monster sets from the dropdown submenus for now.

One would need to build an addon/plugion for this again.
I'm not planning to build such another plugin to maintain, sorry.
It would need us to update each time a new dungeon is added to the undaunted stuff and there is no API function which says "this is an undaunted dungeon set!" so it needs to be hardcoded and maintained a lot

Oh, I see... It is a missing feature in the APIs

Many thanks for the explanation, it makes perfect sense!

As there are too many sets to list in one dropdown menu the sets are sorted by their 1st character and put into submenus.
How would I change the add-on so that it's all in one dropdown menu? I'd much rather have a single dedicated "Monster sets" menu that's full than to have a bunch of Monster sets menus that takes over the rest of the menu, especially since many of the letters only have one entry.
Warning: Spoiler

There is already an entry "-All monster sets-" in each of the submenus. Any of these "-All monster sets-" entries will show you all monster sets.
And below there are the monster sets sorted into groups starting with their first letter (So the lists of the dropdown menu wouldn't be too long).
