function IN2_QueryAccountInventory( itemLink, itemName ); --[[ receives: itemLink - string; ZO formatted itemlink itemName - string; plain text name of the item returns: a queryItem object Note: Providing an itemName string will result in the search using the name. Providing an itemLink will result in a more specific item search using ZO ItemLinks. Providing both will default to using the provided itemLink. Due to the nature of itemization in TESO, ItemLinks for the same item do not match in some cases. For example, the level 1 LockPicks provided to characters who skip the Cold Harbor introduction are different (from the perspective of the ItemLink) than later acquired LockPicks. (I have no idea why this is the case but I am researching this. queryItem = { link = itemLink; name = itemName; locations = { [n] = { name = ""; -- name of the location found; {"Bank","{charactername}"} itemsFound = n; -- the number of items of this time found at this location } } } ]]--

Im using BugEater, after it was mentioned earlier
It reports the error in the chat dialog instead of popping up the error. |

I really love this addon, but till ZOS fixes whatever is causing the error can't run it (getting a massive error box popping up in middle of screen when switching weaps, which I always do in any fight, makes gameplay impossible).
Hope this error is fixed soon so I can use this addon again! In meantime, is there any way you know of to suppress the error popup entirely (so the error box is never seen at all)? |

I tested the suggestion that you gave me,
The error occurs when inventory insight is loaded by its self or when run in combination with my other addons. Turning it off and on when it was running by its self, Didn't always cause the error to return straight away but usually within an hour it would reoccur, sooner if i went to certin trigger areas. Running ESO with no addons, i was unable to replicate the error either after many hours of game play I seem to have reoccuring instance of the error in this cave (Lady Llarel's Shelter, Desheen) but also in Blackheart Haven. Root Sunder. Opening the inventory and clicking on something as you suggested, did make the error msg go away so i could weapon swap properly again. But it eventually happens again. Cheers for the Help |

We hunted this bug down a while ago and almost in arguably pined it as a ZO bug but it's difficult to explain that to folks. Furthermore, it can be misleading as it can be temporarily fixed after disabling an addon and reloading giving the appearance of being related to that addon. Just FYI, I built a fix into IN2 that properly closes the ONLY ZO Tooltip that it generates manually such that this error stops. You can test it out by just mouseing over an item in the inventory frame when this bug starts. You should notice that the bug temporarily goes away as the tooltip was closes properly and the ZO code no longer tries to update a tooltip that doesn't exist. However, after an indeterminate amount of time, the bug comes back. Thanks again for posting this information and a HUGE thanks for providing ZO with another bug report for this. The more of those, the more likely it is to get fixed. |

I'm pretty sure this is due to the most recent API change though because the cooking scene used to be 'smithing' if I am not mistaken. I will take a look and if more scene options needs to be added I could do that. Hope this helps. |

Also from the stacktrace I would say the error is on Zenimax side. I reported it as a game bug accordingly. Note that you can use BugEater's /error and /debug commands to get a dialog with "Copy to Clipboard" ability. It is a lot easier to post stack traces/error messages as text. I even use it to give full debugging data in my Bug Reports to zenimax. I recently did the same with an exception being thrown by the group system (possibly related to the whole Group Nameplates vanishign problem). Interrestingly OnMouseEnter wasa in the stacktrace too... |

All I know is, not all lockpicks are created equal....apparently... As well as many other items too. It's straight mind boggling. |

That is a weird bug! If you want to PM me your saved variables file that could prove extremely helpful in figuring out what is causing that. Did you keep your old saved variables file or did you start fresh with the most recent version? There is a possibility that is what is causing your issue as not only did I make a lot of changes to IN2 but ZO did a number of the saved variables files. :P Regarding outfitter, I think I know what the problem is. When ZO changed the default Apparel Frame things were slightly adjusted. I had to rework some of the code for the docked inventory frame but I never checked how outfitter looks. I will look into that for you. Thanks for pointing these out!

Totally, utterly, megaly, awesome to see this updated!
Though I have a question, for some reason I have a character named "1" and "2" according to the Inventory Insight panel. I can also see them in the list of Collected Character Data but cannot delete them there (nothing happens when I try). Also, when I use the option to move Wykkyd's Outfitter it is in the same spot as the "Equipped" label above my gear. Can this label be removed somehow (and if so, how)? |

Please let me know if you ONLY had Inventory Insight loaded when this occurred. Also, did you turn it off and then turn it back on to confirm that it was indeed IN2? Previously, a lot of ESOUI devs were focusing in on the fact that it was a combination of addons and only happened in certain areas (i.e. dungeons and some zones for whatever reason). I will try to do some more testing but if anyone with some LUA experience wants to help with fixing, please let me know. |
