function IN2_QueryAccountInventory( itemLink, itemName ); --[[ receives: itemLink - string; ZO formatted itemlink itemName - string; plain text name of the item returns: a queryItem object Note: Providing an itemName string will result in the search using the name. Providing an itemLink will result in a more specific item search using ZO ItemLinks. Providing both will default to using the provided itemLink. Due to the nature of itemization in TESO, ItemLinks for the same item do not match in some cases. For example, the level 1 LockPicks provided to characters who skip the Cold Harbor introduction are different (from the perspective of the ItemLink) than later acquired LockPicks. (I have no idea why this is the case but I am researching this. queryItem = { link = itemLink; name = itemName; locations = { [n] = { name = ""; -- name of the location found; {"Bank","{charactername}"} itemsFound = n; -- the number of items of this time found at this location } } } ]]--

Yes, I agree with you here 100%. That, and other reasons (namely that OR is a utility addon), is the reason I gave it it's own menu. Craft Assist Tooltips though is very related (and actually integrates) with IN2. So it's probably the only reason why the two are still in the Vicster's Addons section. Plus, you know, I just don't want you to forget who is keeping all your account wide inventory needs in check for ya! (j/k) |

Sorry the morfi problem was just me beeing silly it works
I already have Joviex, well ok i'll just have to remember using it :P I understand the idea of having the options all in one place but for me that only makes sense for small addons with very little option menu like skyshards + lorebooks they have similar options and fit togther very good but IN² and OptionsRestacker don't so its good they have different menus. |

Hey, no shame no game! If you were drunk posting, I don't think I can really judge you there. HAHA I don't use that icon anywhere though so there's a really REALLY good chance it's not my addon. And if it is my addon, it's not MY addon doing what you are seeing. It's someone else's addon that is doing something to my addon that I have no idea about. :P Alas, I am far from flawless so I could be completely off of my rocker! Please report back with your findings! |

EDIT: Oh ok, good to know. :P No, almost every option in the settings menus are per character and have always been that way. There is an addon out there for copying settings from character to character if you wanted to give it a try. I think Joviex developed it. Only the DB is account wide (IIRC). Also, the motifs? You mean the item styles are missing for all items? Please elaborate - none of that should have changed in the slightest. The only change I made was to the table by adding some of the global variables as keys instead of the number value they represent. Shouldn't have affected it at all... Let me know! As far as the settings menu thing goes - a few of us decided very early on that we would attempt to "save" the player from having an unruly list of addons that spans for miles after 4 months of playing ESO and adding every addon under the sun by building in the same LAM Panel (basically). So, for instance, my other addon CraftAssistTooltips shows up under Vicster's Addons along with Inventory Insight if you have them both installed. The problems, you already pointed out, and now you know the advantages... That was at least before I wrote the Options Restacker addon as per a request on the forums. To be honest, with that addon, even if your settings menu has 100 addons in it it's not nearly as unruly as it would be if they weren't ordered the way you want them or alphabetically. The only problem now? Well, IN2 has over 13k downloads and OR has less than 500. So, it's not helping the other thousands of potential users deal with crazy settings menus. Moral of the story: I'm not sure I really want to break it out... but I'm not sure I really want to keep it in Vicster's Addons either. There are positives and negatives to all sides of the coin here. For now, I'm leaving well enough alone. I've considered adding a "renaming" feature into Options Restacker though so you could always just rename them yourself. LOL

The small tooltips are awesome! The fontsettings resettet after the update but thats no problem
EDIT: ok they did not reset they just don't share for all chars for some reason. Was this changed? I remember I just had to setup everything once with this addon. Why woud anyone have different settings on all chars One other thing is displaying it as "Vicsters Addons". Since your OptionsRestacker has an extra menu and this addon already has a very big option menu I don't see a reason to not just call it "InventoryInsight". Uhhm just a bit hard to remember what Author name belongs to what addon xD I have like: Vicster's, Wykkyd, Ak0's, Garkin's, Haven's You know what I mean?^^

I'll be releasing a patch shortly to address a few issues regarding the Research Assistant integration features and associated bugs. Please stay tuned!!
Also, thanks to Tonyleila, I did some research on those huge gaps in the default tooltips. I didn't think I would be able to do anything about them but it appears I have completely control over them and any other tooltip in the game. Imagine that?? So, I'm working on wrapping up a few extra options on handling that extra space and plan to release it as part of the patch as well. If you read this soon, PLEASE let me know if you find anything else and would like it addressed in this patch or it will likely be put on hold until tomorrow or a later date. Thanks! |

That being said, I will certainly look into adding more options for the custom tooltip! Yeah, I've seen that issue with LAM that you mentioned. Really not a big deal though as you can just click anywhere in the window and it comes to the front. But it definitely happens! :P |

There is also an other problem with Lib Addon Menu with all addons using it: When klicking on the open button the opend window is showing up behind the addon menu like this: http://www.picfront.org/d/981M |

I'm not entirely sure yet as I am at work and can't currently test this, but I don't think you've got the right addon here. Is the bug repeatable? If so, would you please disable all other addons EXCEPT Inventory Insight and repeat the action that causes the bug. Let me know. Meanwhile, I will try to recreate this when I get home this evening. Thanks! |

I don't know if you've mentioned that before or not but someone definitely has. I'm having a hard time deciding how exactly I want to include something like that in order for it to make the most sense. I've also considered simply adding something to the code to keep record of the fact that it is worn by another character and mark it as such in the tooltip. So, I'm still trying to make decisions here. In the meantime I might just add a simple option to NOT collect worn items on characters. Stay tuned! Those submenu panels *should* close when you close the options menu. I will test this when I get home as if there is an issue, it will need to be reported Seerah because I am using her Lib Addon Menu library for all of my settings. Wouldn't be the first weird issue I've seen with them though! Not sure if you've changed any Font settings but after you change them once, the message that they've been changed pops up everytime you open the menu. It's the weirdest thing... But you can simple /reloadui to stop that. Anyway, I will research and try and get to the bottom of it! As far as that last request, as much as I personally like to know that's where that extra information is coming from I have contemplated removing the inventory insight text as well. BUT here's the kicker. Removing that, making the icons smaller, so on and so fourth, will not have an affect on the size of the tooltip. For whatever reason, it is the nature of the itemtooltip class (ZO's class that I am wrapping) I am using to have a ton of white space. I will play around with it and see what I can do. Remember, there is an option to go back to the default tooltip where it adds the location info to the default item tooltip. Keep in mind though that you won't have of the extra info (RA integration, ItemType, ItemStyle, etc) as that is all part of the custom tooltip. I'll see what I can do for you though. |

In InventoryInsightTooltip.lua Line 184: Lua Code:
...remove lines 192 - 193 so the function looks like... In InventoryInsightTooltip.lua Line 184: Lua Code:
Again, very sorry about this guys. I'm at work right now or I would write a patch and release it but it will have to wait until I get home this afternoon (EDT). Bear with me!! EDIT: This may not be the last, please report back if you find any others!! (I think it should be though...)

On the popup when you mouse over an item, your icon to the left of the item thumbnail at the top middle of the popup remains on screens if you keep mouse over the item and close inventory.
