function IN2_QueryAccountInventory( itemLink, itemName ); --[[ receives: itemLink - string; ZO formatted itemlink itemName - string; plain text name of the item returns: a queryItem object Note: Providing an itemName string will result in the search using the name. Providing an itemLink will result in a more specific item search using ZO ItemLinks. Providing both will default to using the provided itemLink. Due to the nature of itemization in TESO, ItemLinks for the same item do not match in some cases. For example, the level 1 LockPicks provided to characters who skip the Cold Harbor introduction are different (from the perspective of the ItemLink) than later acquired LockPicks. [Enhancement] Add a button to enable/disable the list
Hey, first of all -- many thanks for a splendid addon. Best multiple inventory management solution, as far as I am concerned! Keep up the good work!
That said, I've had a (possibly) small enhancement in mind, for quite a while now -- to add a small button (perhaps hooked to the scene frame somewhere) that enables or disables the list view of items (similar to how i.e. InventoryGridView addon operates). The reason for this is that I don't always need the list, but when I do, it becomes quite inconvenient to dig through the Settings menu to turn it back on again. It would possibly be quite useful for the addon to remember this state for the given scene too, similar to how the current options work. That said, I also had a small issue to mention: I, personally, think that after the recent updates this addon's category on ESOUI is somewhat misleading. It's grown beyond being just a simple tooltip addition and, quite frankly, I think it would fit more in 'Bag, Bank, Inventory' part; which would probably also help to make it more popular (for example, I only stumbled upon it by chance).

Thanks for all of the feedback and support! It's always appreciated! I'm glad you find the addon helpful. If I understand what you are referring to, I think you will find the next update to your liking. Unlike InventoryGridView (which I personally love!) I do not have any plans on the short-term roadmap to add grid icons to the inventory frame. But that's not to say it won't happen in the future. That being said, I think what you are looking for is more of a feature to "minimize", if you will, the Inventory Frame. In the next update you will find features such as persistent frame locations, minimization functionality, and re-sizeable frames, just to start the list. I'm working on adding a few more things as well and of course rounding the edges to ensure that things are working the way I intend them to before release. As for the ESOUI comment, I'm right there with you. When I first released IN2, it was just a simple data collection and tooltip addon. As you said it has grown quite significantly. However, we are able configure other categories for the addons as well when we publish them and I have (since almost day one) included a few other locations. It *should* already be visible from the 'Bag, Bank, Inventory' section. I'll look into this though and see if I can make any changes myself or request them from the site admins. Now, if you don't want to mouse over the tooltips and just want a quick at-a-glance view of that information, I could consider writing another addon that plugs into Inventory Insight with a dependency to add that information. But I do believe it would be best as a separate project as the targeted UI piece would be slightly different. Thanks for the suggestion though! Always appreciated! |

PS: As for the addon categories on ESOUI: it seems that IN2 still appears only in 'Tooltip' section in the Minion addon manager (just double-checked). |

Ahhhh, that makes sense. On ESOUI it shows up in all of the sub categories, but it would make sense that it only shows up the main category in minion. It may be another one of those things that they will work out after the beta but I will still mention it to them. As far as I know, there is no way for ME to manually move it to another category after it's initial creation. However, it may be possible for one of the site admins. As soon as I undock the inventory frame its pushed up to the top left and can't be moved because there is the XP bar at this position ;(

Error
Hi I just installed the new version.
I got this error message as soon as my character finished loading. The add-on won't work. By the way I didn't delete the .lua file before I replace the new version. I don't know if that would help. Oh and yesterday, with the last version, I got this message right after I installed the last version of ZrMM - Modified. I'll just post the image so you can see if it's related. In the mid time I guess I'll go back to the other version. |

Also the Invetory window is not saved across account. Have to change the position of it at my bank and bags at every alt. Is this working as indeed?

Hey Guys, thanks for the information.
I'll patch that issue with the guild data in a minute. There was a check there in case the guild data hadn't been collected but I guess it is not working the way it's supposed to. :P Tony, if you have no saved location for the newly undocked frame, it will default to the top left. You *should* be able to just click anywhere in the frame (so long as it's not minimized) put pull it to the top layer (so it's not longer behind the XP bar) but let me test that and make sure. Also, yes, the frame positions are not account wide, they are set on a per character basis and saved that way. Working as intended. (Account wide may be an option for the future - we'll see.)
