Still loving this addon. For some characters I have hundreds of saved styles. I found that managing them was getting tough so I added a very simplistic search filter (not uploaded anywhere).

I don't know how to do UI stuff, so all I did was add a command "/asfilter" that limits display to only styles containing a given word, like "gown", "healer", or "fav". It sure would be cool to see the UI extended to include a search field I could type in.

(update) This now works, but needs polish: In the mean time I'll see if I can figure out how to extend my limited (cmd) version to also search the names of stuff in appearance slots (costume, head marking, major adornment, etc).

Smile Wish List Item : Auto load style depending on region

First things, first- I joined the forum primarily to thank you for your wonderful Addons- AlphaGear and AlphaStyle.

At this point, I would say they are so useful as to be an essential element of playing the game for me. So, thank you for providing hours of convenience with the game!

I will say, that if you manage to complete the wish list item "Auto load style depending on region", these mods would go from essential to legendary!

I know there are other options like LorePlay, but I prefer AlphaStyle for it's better UI and greater options.

I am not a developer, so I don't know how much effort goes into this feature, but I can only give you my vote in making it a priority for new features.

Thanks again, and happy gaming!

For some reason it's currently not saving Minor Adornments at all. Is that a known issue?

Title Keeps Changing

I have found that occasionally the "Title" keeps changing to something else on ALL Alpha Styles. Several times I've had to go through each one, resave the correct title I wanted, and it would be good for a few days and then I'd suddenly notice that my title had changed again, I'd go into Alpha Style and see that each of my styles has the same new title listed. So there is something overwriting the title in the variable saves. I have since had to select 'ignore title' due to this bug.

Saved Variables not Saving and being Destroyed

The SavedVariables changed and are now server and characterId dependent!

Please read a few comments below how to manually migrate the SavedVariables from the old values to the new ones.
If you donot like to you can also change the SavedVariables back to the old after downloading the file above, like described a few posts below.
Hi Baertram hope you read this:
There seems to be a problem with the Variable Saving of your AlphaStyle Version which seems to
have something to do with the Integration of AlphaStyle in AlphaGear.
I could pin it down to the following:
Started AlphaStyle fresh without SavedVariables.
The Saved Variables File was then always created correctly (With or without Creation of profiles).
It then was loaded correctly on the next start - But no new File was written on Character Logout.
(even not after - loading with other Char and/or adding a profile)
But everything works correctly after disabling the the AlphaGear Integration of Alphastyle.

Even Worse as I didn't realize the problem at first I was using your Versions of both Addons for a while
with no problems until the following happened:
AlphaGear wrote a new fresh empty SavedVariables file after logout destroying my original SavedVariables
that I hadn't backuped for a while [SHAME ON ME ].
I only can assume that AlphaGear failed to load the SavedVariables file on Login and therefore
wrote a fresh File over my old one.
And I can only guess that this might also be a problem of the integration of the 2 Addons

I'm so glad this is working again.

I know you can migrate your data somehow, but I tried that for two hours and I'm just not understanding what exactly I have to copy from where. The tabulators are all off, too. Notepad++ copies these things as they are and they don't appear to fit in neatly.

And I have so. So. So. Many. Profiles saved.

I hope future versions somehow ... look for the old stuff and either rewrite it, or read both? Maybe? Or ask me if I even play on the US/EU both.

But I am very grateful for making this work, of course. Lots of Love, Beartram! I wish someone would take over the development of these addons for good, because, ... this doesn't look actively maintained anymore.

I'm a little late here, but this helped me. The addon works now.

Whew! Got it working again! Thank you, Baertram. I had to do a bit of editing to re-combine some minor changes I helped make a long time ago. I had thought they became part of the AlphaStyle distribution, but but I guess not. Just a bit of a sorting tweak, and re-enabled earrings.
