I think a feature that would scan your inventory for missing items and only craft those (multiplied by however many cycles desired) would make this a perfect addon. This way we wouldn't run into having too much of any individual item caused by the somewhat random rotation of crafting writ quests over time.

Re: Cycles, and how many crafting days?
1. Whatever the full rotation for the crafting writ is. The equipment writs follow a 3 day cycle, which means you get 2 1/3 cycles per week. 2. The items are the same per 3-day period, which means it will vary week-to-week depending upon where you fall in your writ cycle. 3. Yes. It won't happen. 4. Personally, I just craft with /scq so my inventory is filled up, and then recraft whenever I run out of items. Depending on how you use your toons, you could just run /scq to have it max out your available inventory, but that could prove problematic if you do more than crafting with them. I would like to add the ability to top off a queue (so, I have 2 days in my inventory, and want to refill up to 6 days, the 4 missing days would be added and then crafted), but my time is limited and I haven't had that opportunity yet.

Cycles, and how many crafting days?
I have ritualized daily crafting with all toons and your addon is an absolute MUST HAVE for anyone who wants to maximize their daily crafting efforts.
I am however, having some trouble grasping the cycles and how many days I can get from the weekly restocks. Its likely just my lack of familiarization with the 'possible writs'. I try to restock each sunday to craft enough items to last until the following Sunday (So, exactly seven days worth of each). All toons are skill-maxed. Here is what I am doing on restock day: 1. Complete and turn in the Sunday writs. 2. On the first toon I visit the Blacksmithing Store and purchase 600 Manganese (all toons are set to only craft orc style). 3. Then I run the addon with '/scq x' where 'x' is the number of cycles I believe I will need for the next seven days. 4. I visit each station to craft the weeks items. So, I thought I had the math down but I keep ending up with too few or too many crafted items. So, here are my questions: 1. What does a 'cycle' consist of? 2. Is the number and type of items an exact value each week? 3. Am I chasing my tail to try to end up with all items used each sunday? 4. If '3' is yes, what is your best recommendation for maintaining inventory for such a weekly rotation? Thanks again for an incredible addon! |

Does this addon support Alchemy and Provisioning crafting?
These are the only crafts that I would like to precraft at the moment, because these crafted items can be shared between characters. The in-game settings only show enchanting and the 4 "major" crafting skills though, but not Alchemy or Provisioning. |

Re: questions
If you run into that issue in the future and have enough crafting mats for the particular station (wood, leather, etc.), what you can do is check to see what style the items that did get crafted are in, and then buy more of that style mat from a crafting NPC. NPCs sell them for 15g each, and you can right click to buy more than one at once, up to 999 at a time, so the problem can be worked around rather quickly. I'd like to be able to add some messaging around crafting issues, but I have very few hours every week to work on projects (5 hours if I'm lucky), and I have half a dozen addons, including ATT, plus other projects, that split that time. So I prioritize the things that impact the most people, and unfortunately this addon just isn't as popular as the others and often gets pushed to the back of the queue. You can't create the items and deposit them into the bank to use on other toons. For writs involving gear, the items have to be created by the character turning in the crafting writ. What I do is craft multiple rotations at once, then leave those items on the character so I don't have to run to the crafting stations while I still have items in my inventory. This allows me to log in on a character, grab the writs from the board, then turn them in and log out again. If you're doing writs on a bunch of characters, it saves a ton of time. You still have to go to the crafting stations on each character, but if you have lots of inventory space and queue multiple rotations, you'll only have to do that once every week or two. On days where I don't have to do any crafting, I can do writs on 18 characters in about 35-40 minutes (including loading screens). The addon supports crafting items at any skill level, and will be able to determine which material to use to precraft writ items. However, like I said before, you can't share the quest items between characters; they have to be created on the character turning in the quest. Hopefully that answers your questions. Please let me know if you have any others. |
