Notification Events

Numbers dont show

Hey, im new to this addon but for some reason, firstly it says the addon is out of date and secondly it doesnt actually show anything in game, no numbers or anything, I've added it to be used even though it says out of date and it still doesnt work.

Missing first hit

Does anyone else have the problem of info for the first attack when entering combat not appearing? For example, on my NB, I usually attack from stealth to open combat. The damage text for that attack never appears. Text only starts floating after the second attack.

Hey guys, been quiet on this addon for quite a while, but it's my intention to start updating it again.

The minor updates I listed in my previous two posts and more will be coming in the future. It's my intention to work on Combat Cloud alongside LUI with the intention of the two addons being paired together. (Don't worry, Combat Cloud will remain completely standalone - just with an option to integrate with some of LUI's new features like new icons).

Hey @Sideshow are you still actively working on Combat Cloud?

I just spent an afternoon making some additions that I think are pretty cool. I can put it up if you like after I finish tweaking it.

The following features have been added:
- Ability to set an override color for all incoming damage (emulate Zenimax red incoming damage)
- Ability to customize size and format options for Critical Damage, Critical Healing, Critical DOTs, and Critical HOTs separately.
- Ability to rename an ability or generate a custom icon for it (Doing this a long with my work with LUI to add/fix relevant icons for everything in the game)

I'm also working on a new Event Viewer type that tries to sort of emulate the ZOS combat text. I've got the timing down but atm it really only works if you set it up for either incoming or outgoing only. GIF: https://gfycat.com/JampackedGrayBergerpicard

I'd also like to look into letting the user pick a different font face for each type of event. Or at least just for Crowd Control because it appears that the ZOS default uses a different fontface for that.

Here's settings for you to use to replicate the default ESO combat text font:

Font Face: Univers 67
Font Outline: soft-shadow-thick
Font Size for damage/healing/etc: 32
Font size for CC: 24

ZOS Combat text font colors (RGB):
Outgoing Damage: 255/255/255
Outgoing Crit Damage: 247/244/153
Crowd Control: 193/189/154
Incoming Damage: 244/24/28
Incoming Healing: 43/212/33

I think the font for Crowd Control/Incoming is different, not sure what it is actually. Seems a lot closer together than the damage numbers.

Not sure if that changed or what, but if I can't trace it then I'll have to find another way to detect the event.

Try Pool.lua

search for lines:

elseif (self.poolType == poolTypes.ANIMATION_COMBATSTATE) then
anim:Alpha(nil, 0, 1, 1000, 0, slowFast)
anim:Alpha(nil, 1, 0, 500, 3000, slowFast)

change to

elseif (self.poolType == poolTypes.ANIMATION_COMBATSTATE) then
anim:Alpha(nil, 0, 1, 1000, 0, slowFast)
anim:Alpha(nil, 1, 0, 500, 8000, slowFast)

Not tested but I think that will be it.
Method signature is Alpha(stepName (optional), startAlpha, endAlpha, duration, delay, easingFunc)
Time is in milliseconds

Keep in mind, the longer you make the time window, the greater the chance that you have both "in combat" and "out of combat" notifications visible at the same time, or even worse...

Anyone know where in the code I can tweak how long notifications last. For example, if I want the out of combat or in combat notifcation to last 5 more seconds, is there an easy tweak I can make to the code for that?
