First I would like to thank pills, the original author for permission to host this version of MailR.

This version of MailR is compatible with previous versions SavedVariables files. It is also compatible with the Hotep® MailR Patch.

Features Removed

The Guild Mail feature has been removed. There are other options available and with most of them ZOS may and has banned people depending on the amount of mail sent over a period of time. You can E-Mail users with a right click from chat and the guild roster. Which is good enough for regular use.

The original version by pills was supposed to overhaul the mail Inbox and it was going to add or display all mail in one location without the need for any kind of interface. That is no longer available because of the Flames of Ambition patch. In addition to that at some point the Mail changed and may have stopped showing saved mail in the inbox or there wouldn't be a Hotep® MailR Patch. At least I never remember seeing saved mail in the inbox prior to the recent patch to the game.

Slash commands will be removed because they no longer provide a way to show mail directly from the inbox.

Hi, thanks for the reply! I know nothing about addons so I was only just hoping it would be something easy. I'll be crossing my fingers that things just end up working when you clean up code in the future (whenever that may be), hopefully w/e is conflicting is part of the unused code.

I was wondering if it would be possible to make this revised version compatible with MailBuddy. It's a very useful mail addon that I use, which makes sending guild mails such as auction mails (w/ items attached) so much easier as it has a feature to remember the last state of any mail you send so instead of having to retype or copy/paste text it just stays the same and is not reset. Gets rid of all the tedious work. However right now the revised version of MailR while it doesn't create errors or crashes, does result in the Mailbuddy's feature no longer functioning. So it's as if Mailbuddy's memory feature doesn't exist. When I disable MailR though Mailbuddy's memory feature works as intended. So I'm now stuck between choosing Mailbuddy's feature or MailR's feature =( I'm hoping there is a possible quick fix for this. Mailbuddy hasn't been updated since 2019 btw (though it continues to work) so you're really the only one I can ask for a solution. However if this isn't something that can be done simply or not something you're interested in doing, no worries. I understand everyone's time is limited, I just thought I would at least ask. I know right! I was pulling my hair out not having a way to save mail, or a way to just simply reply. The small features in this should be part of the default UI. I just could not live without the Hotep patch to display mails and keep track of things I send to people. I forget easily.
