This started as a simple mod that allowed you to place a little marker on your items so you could remember to not accidentally sell or deconstruct them.

With Item Saver 3.0.0.0, that simple functionality is extended with some awesome new features:
  • Choose whether items are saved in general or uniquely - Save multiple stacks of the same item or give duplicates their own sets!
  • Choose to filter marked items from any combination of vendors, the deconstruction list, the research list, the guild store tell tab, the send mail window, and the trading window.
  • Create as many different sets of items as you like, all with their own save type, marker texture, color, and filtering rules.
  • Add your own marker textures to use for Item Saver sets (details below).

Full feature list:
  • Create a new item set with the "+ Create Set" context menu option.
  • Choose your set's name, save type, marker, color, and filters.
  • Choose your default save set.
  • Keybind for saving items to the default set.
  • Choose one of nine possible marker positions.
  • Item sets are listed in a submenu when right clicking an item.
  • The context submenu can be deferred until there are more than a specified number of sets created (1 - 5).
  • Edit created sets. Any changes will update immediately without needing a UI reload.
  • Quickly clear all items from a set.
  • Delete sets you no longer need.

Item Saver features an API for other addons to integrate with Item Saver's functionality. The full Item Saver API is listed here:

The new API for adding marker textures takes its inspiration from Inventory Grid View's skins and Advanced Filters' dropdown filters.

There are code examples in the markertextures folder in Item Saver's root directory.

You may submit your markers as plugins for Item Saver on ESOUI.
Do this by:
  1. Go to http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info300-ItemSaver.html (this page).
  2. Click on "Other Files" between "Change Log" and "Comments"
  3. Click on "Upload Optional Addon"
  4. Enter all relevant information and attach a .zip file containing the folder that contains your plugin.
  5. Submit

The archive hierarchy should look something like:

hey guys, i have one suggestion for this wesome addon

option for share saved items between characters
i mean for example, i save few apparels by my main character and stash em ti the bank,
i also deposit a lot of apparels for deconstructuion by my mule character, because my main already has a cap of those crafting skillline

will be nice if when ideconstruct ll apparels from my bank by mule character, this items also will be protected

It has nothing to do with the name. If the two items have the same itemInstanceId (tracked by ESO itself) then both will be marked. As far as I could figure out when writing this add-on, there is not any way to distinguish between two different instances of the same item.

One would think that "itemInstanceId" is it, but no, unfortunately that ain't the case.
This is correct. For simplicity's sake, the item instance id is generated from the details of the item such as item type, level, quality improvement, racial style, etc. If you have two identical items there is not a way to differentiate item A from item B.

Are you sure you have the latest version? I just downloaded to make sure and ItemSaver_IsItemSaved is declared on line 41 of ItemSaver.lua right where it should be.

Make sure you've added Item Saver as a dependency if you're relying on its functions

Accessing saved items

I'm trying to check from another addon if an item has been marked by Item Saver.
The docs mention

but this function is not there.

I managed to hack something together by directly accessing Item Saver's saved variables, but it would be great if you could implement an "official" API call.

It looks like Item Saver and Combat Cloud. I haven't changed anything and didn't notice any patches today?
At first glance it actually looks like the version of LAM-2.0 that your client loaded with LibStub happened to be the one packaged with Item Saver. That would mean Combat Cloud is trying to register a panel or something with LAM that is already registered. I'll download Combat Cloud and investigate further.

Quick edit: I should have just said originally - This problem doesn't have anything to do with Item Saver's code. Item Saver just happened to get caught up in the middle because your client is using the version of LAM that is contained in Item Saver's directory. Respectfully, whatever the issue is, this is Combat Cloud's problem
Thanks for looking into that. There was another error right above it related to another mod, I can't remember which off the top of my head, I'll add that when I get in next. But if it makes anything any clearer, my list of addons under Settings got kinda screwed up, and "Combat Cloud" is sitting at the very top left of the screen, and it isn't listed under the newer Lib menu.

EDIT: So I disabled Combat Cloud, and Item Saver took its place in the top left. Whichever item is listed top left no longer functions. I turned off Killsound, another mod, and that seems to have fixed everything. So I'll report this to that developer. Thanks

I agree. I'll work on including this behavior. Glyph extraction will be covered by your deconstruction filter preference.

Personally i feel there shouldn't be any protection for runes, its rather hard to accidentally make a glyph.
first you'd have to go to a enchanting table, then select 3 different runes...

Going to the bank and un-saving the individual runes first would be a nightmare, especially since you don't always know what your going to make... or how to make it. (Merlin the enchanter addon USE IT)

On the other hand Protecting Saved Glyph's is certainly a wise move.

Actually, it wasn't ever a problem because Item Saver did not respect Enchanting like it did the other crafts for deconstruction and research!

I'm curious. Should crafting enchants behave like researching other items and extracting glyphs behave like deconstruction of other items?
Or should there be a new "Filter enchanting" option that filters the entire enchanting experience?

I get this error now with the addon, whenever i TRY to Use the

I uninstalled the addon completely, cleared out the saved variables.
