Features
This addon starts ringing when you get notification or chat:

Notifications (Stop ringing when you accept/decline the notification)

If i receive a whisper, - the ring stop when i answer to the whisper, but start again for no reason once i the person continue to whispering if i am invited in group : The ring stop as soon as i answer to the invite, but start again when we sart talking in group On this one a reloadui did nothing, i had to go in the settings and put all on stop then do again reloadui If i do a trade : it does not stop when i accept the trade (i mean the opening windows) Happened to me 3 times. I will continue to monitor to see if i do something wrong, which is totally possible.

I know it is a little noisy, still seeking a solution

Tell me your addon setting.
If you enabled ringing for group chat, the addon starts ringing when you get a message in group-chat channel.
This option is disabled by default though.

k thank you for the answers. To answer your question, all the chat alert are disabled for me. Only the ringing is on for whisper, group and trade. All others are disabled, with the option of 15sec for sound.

So if i continue to talk in mode whisper with the same person the ring will go on ? Because actually for each line of communication with the same whisper is ringing. But ok noted

For group, its rings to alert me and then start ringing each time someone talk in the chat group. BUt if i disable group chat alert, i shoudl have nothing no ? i imagine that talking in the chat group is not the same as whispering ? just a question by the way.

You mean "group-invite"? There are two options: "Notification: group invite" and "Chat: group". Did you disable the latter?

That's weird

I made a group with my friend and tried to reproduce the bug but it worked well on both sides (me and my friend). It does not ring when we get messages if the group-chat option is disabled.

By the way, we tested trade option and it also worked with no problem. The bug seems to be fixed correctly at version 0.1.4.

I uploaded version 0.1.6 to suppress rings when the text cursor is active in chat window. I hope this helps you

I would suggest changing the scale to number of rings as that is more intuitive than 2 seconds equals 1 ring, 4 seconds equals 2 rings, etc.
