This is the Original addon that aims to give you alerts about things happening in Cyrodiil.
I'm getting reports that its functionality is being copied..Not cool.. ::sad_face::

Current features:
  • Alerts when attacks start and stop on keeps/resources. (You get them outside Cyrodiil as well).
  • Shows amount of attacking and defending sieges at the moment the attack registers on the map.
  • Alerts when a keep or resource is captured by another alliance.
  • Alerts about Coronations and Deposing of Emperors (Default is On).
  • Alerts about opening or closing of Gates (Default is On).
  • Alerts about claiming keeps for a guild (Default in On) - No more Anonymous Ninja claiming!
  • Alerts about scrolls (taken/dropped/captured) (Default is On).
  • Optional additional output to current chat tab. (Default is On).
  • Ability to disable On Screen Notifications and only output to chat tab.
  • Setting to turn off Notifications when out of Cyrodiil (in Settings menu and fast slash command toggle "/ca out")
  • All Notifications added as On/Off toggles in Settings.

Many more things and options are planned, so stay tuned! Feel free to provide feedback/suggest features.

How to move the addon window:


Use "/ca show" or "/ca hide" slash commands to make the window visible so you can move it in mouse pointer mode (default key binding "."). Position will save automatically.


A small message/protest by the developer:


I want to bring to the attention of the PVP players out there the issue with the Scourge campaign.
ZOS in an admitted error on their part, killed the Scourge campaign (both EU and NA) overnight after the 1.1.2 game patch was implemented.
This had the effect of everyone of us, that spent two months playing there as dedicated PVPers, to be deprived of any sort of rewards, with no
ability to catch up on the leaderboards of any other campaign (except the new low duration/low reward one). Apparently Zenimax does not care
about compensating the playtime we spent there. We got literally told: "Whoops, run along now".
If you want to help please post at the official forum post http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/100718/scourge-campaign/ and/or leave feedback in game via the feedback menu. Our proposal is to have the campaign rewards given to all those who were going to get them when the rest of the campaigns end as well.
This message is meant to raise public awareness on the issue. Your campaign and your PVP playtime could be next.

Any idea why I'm still getting the system messages about scrolls being dropped and taken in PvE?

it's not happening to anyone else I talk to. and I have messages outside cyrodiil disabled in settings.

That would be outside the scope of this addon as what you are requesting is a map enhancement. I don't like bloating my work heh (as in I like software, addons etc to do only the specific function they were designed to do--as in not force heavier resource usage on people that may not need/use it.). Perhaps I will make something separate for that. If no one else includes something like that on their map enhancement addons.

Unfortunately there are no API functions related to the chat box etc. All the addons that have chat box output use the debugging function d() - like CA.
CLS is using a library that uses a trick, creating the illusion of a real chat tab. It was and still is in my TODO list to implement this as an option for CA It will be in the next major update!

thanks for the addon

i do not get Onscreen Notifications, only in chat, any ideas why?

my options are set correctly i just dont see notifications on screen


EDIT: nvm i think it was just set too low to show on screen so i wasnt seeing it

Yes, I will add this. It is my plan to make every notification option an on/off toggle in the settings (among other things) so user can customize it exactly how they like it. Have in mind though that turning off attacks ending you will not know for example the moment you can actually respawn at a keep unless you manually check the map.

3. Thanks for telling how to move it, perfect! My compass is bumped down because of Wykkyd's Framework bar being on top.
I had this information in the addon description as well but I guess one may easily miss it. I plan to add "/ca show" and "/ca hide" functionality as buttons in the settings as well. I hope that would be more obvious

This is the first report that someone found something annoying. Have in mind the addon is under development so more things are planned. I will elaborate directly on your points below.

First of all whenever someone captures a keep it says two messages, one that the attack ended, and two that they captured it. To improve this just say they captured it.
The attack ending and the keep captured are two different events fired by the client. There is no way provided by the API to synchronize these two events in a reliable way. So as long as you want to see when attacks are ending anywhere and when keeps change hands you will have to accept two messages in the cases when attacks end with the keep changing alliance owner. There is no reliable way to do otherwise. No one has complained about the second message before so I think no one really finds it annoying out of almost 3K downloads. In any case I can not do anything about it, unless I use a very "hackish" way to code it which will not be reliable and will use more resources. Currently the addon is extremely lightweight.

Second, it is not useful to show attacks on keeps that are either not owned by your alliance or not being attacked by your alliance.
For the majority of people out there, that care about strategy and map awareness it is useful to know exactly what is going on on the map, globally, regardless of alliance. For more casual players though, it is already in my TODO list to make an option to do exactly what you are requesting (and much more actually). Expect it in a near future update.

Third, the text goes right on top of my compass and is really hard to read. It would be much better if the text was smaller, and moved to a different location.
Default placement is directly below the compass so you must have moved it accidentally. Use "/ca show" command to make the window visible and you can move it anywhere you wish. With "/ca hide" you can hide the window again. The . key toggles mouse pointer mode in the game client (unless you changed the key binding to something else). Position saves automatically. Font size option is on the TODO list to be added at a future update.

With these 3 improvements this add-on would improve immensely. Just my two cents. Thanks dev!

Also, how it works with Home/Guest borders? Where I can choose what border notifications I want to see?
Option to turn it off is on my TODO list.

You can not choose Home/Guest. This is not available in the API. The events fire for your Home campaign unless you are in your Guest one.
