EDIT: Actually, another Developer named Ayantir offered, a little while ago, to help with the development of Kill Counter and add some new features/clean up the code/etc. He will be addiing the capability, so for now you can actually expect this feature to be in the game. I will be monitoring it, and if I feel like its doing more harm than good I will disable it. So yes, This feature will be added, probably in the next update!

Whispering opposition...
First off, love this addon! Simply must have. A lot of my other addons get turned off, but this one remains on at all times. Thanks for the hard work.
I'd like to make a suggestion. That when you get the message that you were killed by Joe Blow, for example, that you can click on that name, and it automatically sets up a whisper. Must have for those players that have ascii based characters or hard to memorize names etc. Hopefully this wouldn't be difficult to add. Again, thanks for the hard work! |

Setting not saving?
I have the Death Alerts option set to "Off" but I still get the "You were killed by" message printed on chat. If I disable the addon I don't get the message but if I re-enable the addon I keep getting the death alert message in chat even though I have the option turned off.

We captured the DC scroll, and this message came up on chat:
Shouldn't it have said "Captured by Ebonheart Pact" since we placed the DC scroll in an EP keep? |

Anyways, I'm very sorry to hear that Kill Counter is bugging out. I can't seem to replicate the error/bug you seem to be having. It sounds like your copy of Kill Counter seems to have been corrupted or something. Before you try any of the steps below, I would disable all addons except Kill Counter, and see if you still have the same problem. If you don't, reenable all your addons 1 by 1 to see which addon seems to break it. If you do, then see below: What I would do is make a copy of your SavedVariables file, and delete it to see if that fixes anything. If it does, then put your backed up copy back, and see if it continues to be fixed. If the above does not work, than, again make a backup of your saved variables file, and then delete Kill Counter, and manually reinstall it (Not using Minion). If the above doesn't work, please let me know so I can keep trying to think of troubleshooting things you can do. Again, I'm very sorry to hear that Kill Counter is bugging out. Hopefully we can fix it together. |

my savedvariable is over 5mb, full with all my kills since start. i update true minion everyday. but i have no clue how this happens, the stats stay in it, session stats that is. ofc the session stats reset when i relog but that was normal. i don't know

When did this start? Did it start with the latest update (Update 7)? Do you seem to be losing any of your other stats? For example, does Kill Counter not record the stats from your sessions? As far as losing your stats, what I would do before trying anything is to make a backup of the saved variables file, which is where all your stats and settings are stored. First navigate to the ESO folder. In windows, this is located in the documents folder. On Mac, I am not sure, but you can probably do a google search to find out. From there, go to the live folder. From there, go to the SavedVariables folder. Inside of that, there will be a LUA file called KillCounter.lua. Simply copy this file, and put it somewhere safe. Now, you can try to do a full reset of Kill Counter (/kcreset full) though I doubt this will help. I just released an Update for Kill Counter that rolls the API version to the latest. Try updating Kill Counter and seeing if that helps. Please let me know the result, and if you need more help! |

killcounter keeps reseting position
i cant seem to get kilcounter to stick to his spot, he keeps going back to the upper right corner no-mater what i do. i can drag it, and he will be good til i switch zone, or log out. even when i switch campaign it goes back to the upper right corner?
is there anything i can do without losing all my stats? have had this addon since it came out, don't really wanna lose all my stats :< |

However, in rare instances you will get a double kill. This is because you damage someone with an ability that has some sort of damage proc. In your case it was your lethal arrow which procced camo hunter. basically what happens is the lethal arrow kill is counted, and the enemy is added to the just killed list. However, the camo hunter damage removes them from the list almost instantaneously, and you get the second kill. This is mostly a problem with the way the ESO api sends combat messages , and I have been hard pressed to find a way around it. I am sure there is one, but the issue is rare enough that I have kind of let it ride. I actually experience this error alot because of the templar passive burning light (IE ill get a kill with biting jabs, and will get a double kill because burning light was procced when the enemy dies.)
