Hi,
Thank you for your work, I like your add-on ! Would-it be possible to add some option like turn off sound when you kill someone ? ++

As far as the total kills bug, I'm assuming you should have had 3 killing blows instead of 2? Due to the way that the combat event works (which is how i track kills) I have to take precautions in the code the account for double kills (IE getting a kill twice on a person when you should only get one) This happens because ESO sends multiple killing blow results (which is what I track for kills in the combat event) for a single players death depending on the situation. For example, every time you get an actual killing blow, at least 1 more killing blow result will happen after that event (which is why in previous versions, you would see double kills in rare instances), so My code has to pretty much always ignore that second killing blow. This results in rare instances where you don't get a kill you should have. As an example, say you kill player X with a killing blow. Kill Counter will count that kill, but ignore the second Killing blow result event that will come at a slight delay after the kill. However, lets say that before that event were to come, that player is rezed and you end up killing them again. This second kill will not count. This is a problem i've been dealing with the whole time i've been developing Kill Counter. I'm hoping the patch today will have an updated API which addresses this issue. Also remember, Killing blows and total kills are different. So although you might get 5 kills on someone, only 3 might be killing blows (Killing blows are defined as kills in which you do that last damage, or make the killing blow.) Anyways, I'll push out the update that should fix this issue |

Hi !
I have a very annoying bug, an error window that appears in combat after a kill. I also have another bug on the "total kill". I made a little video on this great mod. Just a pity for bugs, I remake a when it will be fixed Link to the video and bugs : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNn5TCAVBLk#t=59 |

However, if you want to choose one, and you end up choosing codex above this one, please let me know why in the comments! |

However, your stats are stored not in KillCounter.lua which is part of the addon, but rather in the KillCounter.lua that is in the saved variables folder. It will look like a list of different values. You'll see stuff like Code:
["anchorPoint"] = 6, ["offsetX"] = 556.000122, ["totalKills"] = 456, ["killed"] = { [1] = [[Phaade]], [2] = [[Ninjabee]], [3] = [[Hodor of the North]], [4] = [[Eyes]], [5] = [[Ayutingting]], [6] = [[Leafstalker]], [7] = [[Gazalem]], [8] = [[Hotheadjoe]], Making an in addon function to merge multiple saved variables files might be impossible, as I don't believe my addon has access to the savedVariable files or the ability to save them over. I could probably code a really hacky version that would work in certain cases, but unfortunately, this isn't on my list of pressing matters. I will definitely look into this further. Another issue is the versions of saved Data. It may not have been a bug that wiped your stats, but rather an update of the Kill Counter that had a new version of the savedData (IE it stored more data, so ESO wipes your old savedData variable rather than trying to convert the old data format to the new one). Any SavedVariables file from the early release to now can probably be upgraded to the current version, but be aware, once I release a new version which will store more information about the kills (like class, # times killed, etc.) It will be all but impossible to update old files to the new format because it will be so different. Thanks for the feedback, its much appreciated! PS: If you could, it would help me immensely to describe in further detail this small bug that wiped your stats. What exactly happened when they were wiped. Was there an error message? Did you recently update Kill Counter? Any other information would be appreciated! I would love to identify and fix this bug.

I'd like to see a function that allows for easy merging of multiple KillCounter.lua files.
I sometimes play on a different computer, and i've once had a small bug with the addon that removed my list. I later realised i had a backup of my addon folder. if i could merge these 3 lists of mine id be super happy. but the truth is, im no coder. and whats in the file appears as magic to me. would love an easy list merge system implemented. |

The only issue is I wanted to include the seige capture stats as well (which is why I was going to make the box bigger) But I suppose I could easier just make it two lines, IE K: 3 D: 3 S: 0-0 KC: 6 RC: 4 KCS: 0 RCS: 1 Though, i'm not sure if the abbreviations for keep/resource counters will be clear in what they are. Regardless, I'll definitely look more into this, and again, thanks for the feedback! Don't expect this change to be in the very next update, but I am planning on overhauling most of the GUI elements, so this will probably make its way into Kill Counter soon. Until then you can always hide/show the Kill Counter UI by typing /kc toggle. There is also a close button (X in the top right corner) in the Kill Counter GUI element itself that will hide it. Once you hide it, you can view the stats panel by typing /kc stats. On an unrelated note, I hope you were able to fix the issue Kill Counter had earlier with the error? |

Great addon very fun, I wonder if it would be possible to make it more minimal though in it's appearance as the grey box doesn't fit well with my UI
Personally i think it would be nice if it was a one line bar with no background so i could put it next to wikkid's bar and it would fit into the UI? Like K:3 D:3 S:0-0 You could just click the bar anywhere to bring up the stats, something like that and the whole thing could be the stats button?

Installed todays update and yea plain never worked for me either.
Maybe it was before the final upload you did, not sure. Either way, reverted to 1.1.1 as that version works quite well for me. |
