"Crown Repair Kit" is a good example as it has a "Bound" and a "Character Bound" version. |

I know that there are more "powerful", or more customizable addons out there for bank/inventory management; but most of them share the problem that too much customization destroys usability and is also more likely to have hidden bugs/errors.

Thanks for all your work. This addon is awesome.
Would there be a way to separate jewelcrafting writs from other writs? Nobody every really does these writs compared to the others so they seem distinct. For example, I'd like the ability to pull JC writs only onto a storage char without pulling the other writs. |

I like your Addon, and I have a suggestion. It would be nice if you integrated Crown-Items (like the consumables you get through login) in PA-Banking.

That's exactly what I was planning to do, but now you made it so much easier So I only started playing like a month and a half ago so I don't understand that much about how the addon code works for ESO but I know enough about programming to know that cheap hacks like swapping some 'strings' would do the trick! The fact that you spelled it out for me is much appreciated! I only need the custom list for some writ related items so it's not that huge of a list. I wonder if there is a neater way to do it than hardcoding the item IDs in it. Given what you showed me I'll try and make item IDs a variable that I could change in game. I'll post you my code if I could manage it! I don't know how the syntax handles dynamic containers but if for every category in Banking a simple whitelist of item IDs to compare and skip while looping the operation should work well. If static containers are simpler then a list of 10 items to ignore per category could do the trick. The good thing about PA is that the interface is very straightforward. I have some experience with addons shuffling around items between alts and banks playing WoW, but it's orders of magnitude simpler with this addon. So thanks again for streamlining inventory tetris in ESO UPDATE: I followed your instructions and after a little tussle with some misbehaving commas and curly braces I managed to unlock your secret menu Here is the code for anyone interested : In "/vars/Globals.lua" Lua Code:
In "/PersonalAssistantBanking/Menu/PABankingMenuDefaults.lua" Lua Code:
Now my only problem is that I want to do the reverse of the backpack operation. Whereas it would be "Amount to keep in bank" instead of "Amount to keep in backpack"

If you want to give it a try, you can do the following:
So, technically this is already working... I just did not want to add such settings for "every" single item out there Please note though that when I release a new version for the addon and you update to it e.g. with Minion, it will replace the file and all the changes you did. In that case don't forget to make a copy of these IDs you are adding. Cheers Klingo

I don't use AvA items so might just hack into the code and repurpose the strings with the annoying herbs needed for the writs (Blessed Thistle,Wormwood, Corn Flower etc...) but I don't really like hacking into addon code like that as it causes headaches later on. |

I made a quick turn up in my house chest and seems it's fixed now, not doing anything.
What fsdragon is asking below, I have my doubts. Looking to BMR, that addon had a lot of various items you could set to transfer individually. But that also cluttered the addon quite a lot and made it super heavy. So my advice would be to carefully think before adding tons of stuff into this one. My advice to fsdragon is to get ESO+ for awhile or wait for a free trial. Then stock up your crafting bag so it will store your writ mats for a long while. That's what I'll do everytime I decide go back to free sub. Saves you a ton of trouble. Another extra addon module ? Sure, why not. Some sort of custom user exception list - sounds good too I suppose. |

Re: Re: Exceptions
I do in fact use Dolguboun't Lazy Writ Crafter. It works well for withdrawals from the bank but it does not deposit! As for my specific use-case it is as such: I don't have eso+ so I use alts to 'warehouse' specific items. With the use of your awesome addon and the equally awesome Lazy Writ Crafter I can cycle through all my alts for the first rank of all crafting writs in 20 min or so and perfectly dispatch writ bag materials to their assigned alts! The problem occurs when, for example: Alchemy requires '3 of Cornflower'. My alchemy mule will always soak up all herbs when it's his turn to bank all the writ bag materials and there is no way to ignore certain herbs or maintain stocks of them as it is the case with items like lockpicks and siege items. The interaction with Lazy writ crafter will only work for the characters who have pending writs to complete. I end up going through several loops on my character list to make sure I manually restock the bank after I figure out the required materials for the day. If the option to add custom exceptions exists, then one loop would be sufficient to go through all the writs! Saving a ton of time. Of course this use-case could be extended to people who are using the eso+ craft bag as well. Since one character could craft all the consumables (potions, glyphs, food) and maintain stocks in the bank of ONLY the ones needed by the writs while all other consumables are moved around according to the Profiles. |

Noticed some of the jewellery materials (mainly pulverized items) that do not transfer at all btw. I can get more details if you need Thanks for the updates, known/unknown recipes works great!

Re: Exceptions
For this use-case, I would recommend you to download Dolgubon's Lazy Writ Crafter. It not only makes crafting for writ quests much easier, it also automatically withdraws the required items (incl. already cooked food/drinks, etc.) from the bank... and PersonalAssistant has a compatibility mode with it so that for the categories where you need items for writs, nothing will be deposited/withdrawn (until the quest is completed). Exceptions
Thanks a lot for this addon, it is saving me valuable time day in and day out!
I don't have ESO+ so I use my alts as mules for crafting mats. However, when I cycle through the daily writ rotation on them I hit a snag when specific materials are needed for the writ quest. ex 'Cornflower" I was wondering if you could add a simple filter for each profile for items that would override the specified settings. or extend the behavior of items like lockpicks to specific crafting materials where you could say something like 20 of 'Wormood" always stays at the bank. For example : Move all alchemy materials to backpack BUT deposit to bank Cornflower, Wormood, Dragonthorn. This could be used to ensure materials needed for daily writs stay at the bank while other stuff get assigned to the correct profile action. |
