ExoYsProcSetTimerZHPatch  New this week!
Version: 2.12.1
by: FusRoDah [More]
This is a Chinese language patch for the plugin. Please install the original plugin before using it. If the original plugin author sees this, I hope the author will incorporate the language file into the original plugin. I will also strive to continuously update the new Chinese localization files.

I think the options Baertram referred to are deactivated for my addons.
(He probably just sees them, because he is a site admin?)

But I am happy to just include the language file in the normal release.

Just give me the ok here, as an PM or contact me on Discord.

I will then reach out to you each time there is an update required
If there are any updates needed in the future, you can reach out to me via private message or email me at [email protected]. If I don't respond promptly, rest assured that I will contact you as soon as I notice the plugin update. Using Discord isn't very convenient in China, haha.

The best way to handle such language patches is to contact the authors of the addons first.
Give them ~2 weeks to answer (they could be on vacations) and then release your patch.

If the other addon's "Other files" tab enables you to add patches, please use that directly!

So your patch is connected to the base addon that way and easier to find.

If the other addon does not allow patches, just release a new addon into the "Patch" catgeory and name it very similar to the other addon + the info "- <language Name> language patch" at best.

Provide a description what the installing users should do: Install in addition, or only install that patch (as some patches might need to overwrite the base addon).

I've also reached out to Exoy asking to include your zh.lua language file directly, and hope he will accept that.

Making patches for addons that support the langauge files makes no sense!

Thank you for considering this and contacting the author to include the language file directly into the main addon so users do not have to download 2 different addons.
I am truly appreciative of your suggestion, as it resonates with my earlier thoughts. Having previously attempted to reach out to other plugin developers to contribute localization files but encountered prolonged periods without responses, I've resorted to creating patches primarily for sharing among my friends. This approach also prevents the overwrite of language files not yet included in the original plugin during updates. Thus, I've adopted this method to promptly deliver the Chinese translations.

Should the original plugin authors notice and choose to incorporate these language files into their plugins, it would bring me great joy. I am also more than happy to continue offering subsequent Chinese localization support in a manner that suits them best.

Given my limited English communication skills, which heavily rely on translation software, attempting to contact various authors through comments, emails, private messages, or similar channels proves equally time-consuming for me. As evidenced by the text above, I draft and revise in Chinese first, then translate it into English using different tools, and back into Chinese again to ensure my intended meaning is clear and unambiguous. It's a humorous but true reflection of my process.

Currently, this approach enables me to conserve time that would otherwise be spent reaching out to individual plugin developers. These are my considerations, and I hope you can empathize with my situation.
Thank you very much for your guidance! I was indeed unaware of providing language files the way you described. I will certainly try to do so going forward. Much appreciated!
