Srendarr adds the ability to track your buffs and debuffs you cast on others, both the long-duration abilities that appear under the Character window as well as the short-term buffs that normally only show via graphical effects on your character. The aura tracking is designed to visually mesh with the standard UI theme but includes many options to change the appearance.

Please note that this initial release, while it has been bugtested, uses a database of durations to "fake" timers for short-term buffs and this database uses durations obtained out of game from wikis and thus may not be entirely accurate for every ability. In a situation where you discover a timer not matching the duration, please let me know so I can update the numbers

/srendarr unlock -- unlock the aura display for movement

The only way to get a German localization that'll track shortbuffs would be for somebody to fill out the spell names for tracking. If you would like to do so, i'd be happy to include them and setup DE localization.

In version 1.4, everything that needs translating is in Locales\Local_en.lua. The settings strings just need to be localized to be understandable, everything for Aura Data needs to have the exact name used in the german client down to captilization and everything.

Nice addon.

for me it would be nice to have a working short buff display. i have an Dragonknight and i use the german client. if i use the spiked armor the buff won't shown up. Not in the short or the long time buffs.

Either the sheet or lua is fine, though lua is quicker for me to implement. I'd suggest a dropbox link to upload it Either way will take a bit of coding to add the translations, but once I get the files, I can probably have a version up within an hour or so. Thanks!

Just for reference on the Vampire/Lycanthropy ones, they are the names of the buffs people have on them if they are a Vamp or Werewolf, if you turn on player buffs and mouse around in a town you'll probably find somebody with them for an idea on the translations.

French translation

Hey Kith

I have done an Excel file translation for the french skills

Unfortunatly for some of them I cant find the translation because I dont find those ingame :

fed on ally
stage x vampirism
Vampirism
Lycanthropy

I am definitely going to help there although I have no clue how to read the .lua :-/ Maybe I am just going to convince an experienced German Community member to help with the localization :-)

Thats not a bug as such so much as a localization problem. For short term buffs, they are 'faked' by comparing the names of your hotkeys when used so as the names are different for abilities on german (and french) clients that comparison fails unless somebody can provide a list of the DE/FR ability names.

Longterm and target buffs can be pulled from the client directly and will work regardless of localization - though the filters such as Mundus and Vampire are likley not going to work for the same reason.

If you would like to help with that, all the abliity names are in the AuraData.lua file (and the other locale specific stuff is in the Locales folder).

Just had this problem as well, turned tooltips off, buff bar moved without issue. Thanks!!
Finally got a chance to work on this and test tooltips turned off and yes, this allowed me to move the frame. Confirmed to be a workaround.

Bug report. Structured Entropy, the mage guild skill is showing up as both a buff and a debuff. The correct is debuff.

Edit. Nevermind, my bad. Structured entropy also gives a small heal, guess that would count as a buff

So yea supposedly the API can't handle seeing other players effects..

Yet somehow FTC still seems to figure some out.. Not sure how but it displays:
Molten weapons, when cast by another DK on you
Warhorn, when cast by another player on you

So i guess this info is somehow detectable.

Also warlegend group frame seems able to detect which players have HoTs on them, which have defense buffs, which have offense buffs..

So yea the data is out there somewhere.. Maybe this addon can be greatly expanded if you can figure out how they get that info.

Would be very useful to lots of healers i play with, if they could see which players had HoTS running for example. (in a less buggy addon, as warlegends seems to only function after a /reloadui).

I noticed that this add-on can't really handle the Ultimate skill called Barrier (from the pvp line).

It goes into the long buffs and short buffs when I use it, but only in the short buffs it'll count down, and once it's gone it'll disappear from the short buffs but in the long buffs it'll be grayed out, with the full duration still showing.

Other than this problem, it's been pretty reliable so far.

EDIT: If I uncombine the buffs I can move the long but not the short. I removed every single add on and only left this one and still nothing. I removed the Srendarr add-on and the savedvariables file, did a reloadui, re-added it from scratch from the zip file and still retains my settings and window locations. Looks like you write out the settings in memory on a reloadui and so it recreated my saved variables file. I'm trying again from scratch without the add-on installed and ensuring everything is removed properly.

EDIT2: Ok, i found the issue. when you change the font size (in my case 14 to 20) you lose the ability to move the anchor.
I'm un able to replicate this problem sorry. Tried changing both name and timer font sizes and was still able to drag all 3 anchors. Are you able to give me any more details/steps please?

Just to note on the variable saving, the game keeps a memory copy of vars that it'll write out on a relog or reloadui. If you want to clear a mods settings, set its 'table' to be blank. So:

/script SrendarrDB = {}

would blank out (all characters) settings for my mod for example.
I just turned on the target buffs, moved the frame and all was good. Then I went and changed the font from the default Univers 67 to ESO Cartographer, then to Arial Narrow, then back to the default Univers 67, changed the font size to 20 and the target buff frame refuses to move anymore and is stuck where I first moved it.
