Since v1 has not been updated, I (votan) took over this addon. But with a new implementation, I started long time ago.

Features
  • Ordering the power runes by level. Tooltip showing the required minimum item level.
  • Ordering the aspect runes by quality. Tooltip showing the name and quality.
  • Choose right category (Armor, Weapon, Lewelry)
  • Show unknown glyphes.
  • Search for glyphes of writ quests.

Are there known conflicts with other Addons

EnchantMaker began posting UI errors after installing PerfectPixel and AutoCategory. Are there any settings I can change to stop the UI errors?

Are you sure it has to do with that? Or did you get one of the new runes recently? Because the addon is out-dated.
I am in the member list, but I never ever work on this addon.

Does any one bother, if I upload a total different version using the same addon name?

Well, somehow yes. I did not implement a search by name.
I must admit, that the glyphe list is a bit lengthy. (expect for armor)

since I updated to the new Version i only get an error-message 'LUA 101', the addon doesn't work at all anymore. what can ii do?

Lua 101 is not a regular error message. It does say nothing to me. Delete the EnchantMaker folder and reinstall.

I just realised that the missing Window comes with the Patch Enchant Maker+ by Fenixs and is not up.-to-date (22/07/20)

Is it possible to toggle between the original and the new UI

I think the New UI is beautiful. But I have to spend too much time searching for what I want.
Could it be possible to give us a button to get back to the three column search?

Altough it looks super cool I really wish for the old UI because I find the new one way too confusing. I can't see anymore how many runes I can use and clicking through everything is really time consuming.

*sigh* I expected such response (much earlier), @Elentari13, @Honestaly.
I never used the old Enchant Maker. It did make no sense to combine all this traits and power runes. You can't place them anyway???
And why would I want to know how often I can create runes. You have enough or not. You have to farm or buy anyway.
Why would one craft more than 2 runes??
And for writ quests, there is an extra buton.

I guess you do not craft them for yourself?

New ESO player here, just hit level 12 on a toon, and started dipping my toes into mods, and boy howdy!

Votan, I have so many of your mods it's like you're practically playing on my account playing for me! Thank you for all you've made. All of your mods have been easy to "grok" and understand.

Until this one, this one gave me some trouble. :-(

It took me about 20 minutes to be able to figure out how to make use the search feature. If there was a way to highlight the runes in the primary interface, I think the player's intuitiveness would take over from there?

Also, /enchantmaker no longer works it seems. I get an invalid command when trying to invoke the UI. Updating the mod description to include that may help? If this mod was anything like Potion Maker, then that is a pity as I do like being able to figure out what I may be missing to make or craft certain things while away form a craft table.

Other than that, the quest button currently "appears" to be broken for me, as it just leads to a blank page. Prior to understanding how the interface worked, the search button did the same thing, so I'm presuming this is because I don't have any runes to make a quest glyph.

Perhaps replacing a blank page with a feedback message like "No Quest Glyphs may be crafted with the runes you have." may be in order to prevent noobs with a little less patience than myself me from giving up and removing the mod?

Just some thoughts.

- Lack of feedback in the case of not having the potency rune for the current search: right now I only have lvl 1, 5 and CP 150, 160 potency runes due to playing for a few years + trashing all other runes in between, and those searches will obviously come back empty, but the feedback doesn't really make it clear that this search is empty due to having no potency rune

- I have no idea how much extra work it'll be but having the tooltip of runes also offer the amount you have of each one would alleviate a lot of the concerns/issues with getting an empty search

- Aspect and potency runes should be in order of their rarity/level requirement to make it far more intuitive:

-- The potency rune at the 12 o'clock position/the tip up the upper triangle is lvl 1 Jora/Jode
-- It goes clockwise until CP 160 Repora/Idade
-- The same applies to the aspect runes, going clockwise from Ta to Kuta

- The currently selected icons for potency rune + glyph type should either be much bigger or you could keep the theme of the colored polygon based on the quality of the aspect rune and do some sort of icon highlighting or something like that based on the color of the aspect rune, e.g. if I select Kuta as the aspect rune then both the glyph type + potency rune I select will both be gold/golden in some way

Ok its not so important to generally see how many runes I can use but more of a what runes exactly I have. For now I always have to look in the runes specifically and try to memorize the names of the might runes I have so I can craft them.

Is there a way to make it so that the runes get darker or red when you don`t have them? Kinda like ESO does in the crafting section.
