Recount  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 0.5.0
by: Fayn, McGuffin
Recount is a damage meter and combat log addon which is still in development.

Disclaimer
Fayn has discontinued working on this addon, but he was kind enough to allow me to push some updates.
I made some fixes and added some statistics like crit%.

---------------------------------------------------

"Damage Taken", "Healing Taken" and group damage summaries are not available or displayed more detailed due to the restrictions in the Addon-API.

Several options can be configured in the ingame settings menu.
Press the "M" button in the top right corner of the Addon to switch between reports.
Press the "R" button in the top right corner to reset the collected data.
v0.5.0 (McGuffin)
-Updated api version
-Added an option to disable auto show/hide switches. If enabled, the RecountUI can only be toggled through command shortcuts
-Added Zos disclaimer in Recount.txt

v0.4.9 (McGuffin)
-using a self damage skill (like equilibrium) doesnt start a new combat session anymore

v0.4.8 (McGuffin)
-Added a shortcut to switch modes backward. The existing one still switches modes forward.
-The dps is now calculated with a minimum 1 second timeframe, to avoid crazy unrealistic spikes.
-Added a player death detection to fix a ZOS bug, when sometimes, the end of combat event never triggers as it should when the player dies
-The out of combat trigger is now slightly postponed, in order to avoid an issue when the combatlog_events are not perfectly synchronized with other combat_events
-The actual combat session also starts when a player enters the game in a middle of a fight (or if the user triggers a reloadUI during combat.)

v0.4.7 (McGuffin)
-Fixed a (badly declared) local var that had a bad side effect.

v0.4.6 (McGuffin)
-added an option to set critical/tick tag in the combatlog
-the Recount UI should not popup again after a gameUI close if it was hidden before.

v0.4.5 (McGuffin)
-Total dps/hps are now computed throught active combat duration.
-Added a timestamp in the combatLog section
-small cleanup

v0.4.4 (McGuffin)
-added keybinding for "toggleShow", "reset", and "toggle mode"
-You can scroll over both combat log and skill stats
-fixed scroll limit for skill stats

v0.4.3 (McGuffin)
-Recount now hides itself while the player is in game UI (map, inventory etc.)
-You can scroll the statistics bars with the mousewheel on mouseOver (This doesnt work with the combatlog yet, only bars)
-Small code fixes

v0.4.2 (McGuffin)
-Recount should now correctly shows/hides itself while in/out combat with the "hide in combat" setting.
-Dps calculation is now more strict and datas are only collected during combat
-Skill Bar refresh is frequency has been reduced and streamlined

v0.4.1 (McGuffin)
-added an option in option menu that allows to not show each skill crit/hit statistic
-Self damages (like equilibrium) are now excluded from dps calculation

v0.4.0 (McGuffin)
-added critical strikes statistic. Values are separated in each skill for periodic and direct damage/heal.
-default fonts has been reevaluated
-max % of bars now fits the skill that has max value
-fixed some nil errors
-updated last libs

when we have the window hide out of combat. how can we see it again? maybe you have to add a keybind

Also it will be good if we can post Damage, dps, name of mob etc etc to chat window. Also a scroll bar would be gread so we dont have to change the windows size everytime we want to see the log

Second that.

I do like to keep the Recount "window" open, even out of combat, but as soon as I open any of the menues, it is bothering me.

And:
McGuffin: thanks for stepping up and continuing the work!
Fayn: thanks for the addon and letting someone else carry the "flag"

Take care,
Urbs

thx for continuing
+1 for keybind option to show/hide
also popup on mouseover mini recount panel to show standart recound and back to mini after mouseover outside would be nice (to not destroy free monitor space)
no need to specificate combat log since it is damage metre. for combat logging there are some better addons like battlelog

Great! its nice to see that someone is updating this addon!

Suggestion 1: Add different colours for the various types of damage in the skill name of the combat log. For example:
Magic damage -> purple
Physical Damage -> light yellow
Poison - > light Green
Earth damages - orange
oblivion - whatever...
(i dont really know all the different types but you got the point :P)

Suggestion 2: Can you remove the "Uknown - Uknown" in the damage we take? If the API doesnt provide these details you can replase it with [damage] <- Taken by [name of the mob]

Suggestion 3: replace ^ with Tick(i think is Tick...) and * with CRIT

Suggestion 4: At the bottom can we also see the Total damage and Total Heal? I suppose Damage: [total damage] - DPS: [dps] / Heal: [Total Heal] - HPS: [hps] would be nice!

Suggestion 5: Can you make the window transparent if we lock it somewhere? During the fight to see the log for example but not the window

Suggestion 6: Can we have keybinds for the screens that we are interested in order to change them faster?? For example i may by interested in CombatLog and Damage Done Last Fight only. Or to decide in settings what screens we want by ticking them and circle only those screens.

Suggestion 7: In Autoswitch mode let as chose from a slide bar some amount of time to stay in the log before automaticaly go to another screen. Maybe 0 - 15 seconds. Let us choose

Suggestion 7: Can we send our Total Damage Done, DPS, Total Heal Done, HPS to chat with a keybind? That will be nice for parties
Example (you can also add colours to post in chat)
[Character name] -> Total Damage: [damage] - DPS: [dps] / Total Heal: [heal] - HPS: [hps]

Of course all these are just my suggestion and if you willing to add something you can always use ON/OFF for those that may dont like them. Thanx for your time

Can you please add autohide options? Like hide in menus? It overlaps my map scroller and skill window.

@exhuman79: thx for the feedback.
1: technically not hard to do, but the feedback can be tricky, because a given spell has sometimes more that one damage type
2: if it says "unknown", this is because both skills and NPC are unknown, so it's not possible to tell who hits your character
3: I just added an option for that so you can put whatever you want
4,5,6: I will think about an option to let user customize the feedback
7: a bit redundant, just dont use autoswitch then switch with shortcut when ready
8: addon are not allowed to send message in chat automagically. The best i can do, i think, is to preformat a string, before the user send it himself

@SektaNZ: which version are you using?

Really excellent addon, not only for what it does, but how it does it. The ability to resize the window and have everything just snap into place is really pro. Everything looks clean and minimalist too. Very well done.

Just one minor issue. For whatever reason I get the following error when enabling the Clock - Tamriel Standard Time addon of all things:

You can distinguise. magicka skills as magic skills, stamina skills as physical skylls. light and heavy attacks and things like that. poison damage as poison and so on from the tooltip of the skills. not something very complicated

Well, I am not talking about the way to detect damage type (it's easy, it's in the combatlog), but a good way to show the results.
However, I am not sure of the relevance, since the datas are only available for the outcome damages.
Income damages would have been interesting to sort by type, but ZOS decided we can't :/

Can you make the window hide in combat? Not minimised, hide. I do not need a window during a combat, I want to see the statistics after combat by pressing keybind.

small request

Excellent addon. However I only want the window show when I specifically press the keybind, not every time combat starts. I easily fixed this myself by commenting out a single Recount.Show() line, but perhaps you could make this an option?
