Weapon Charge Alert  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.1.24
by: katkat42, Harven, ingeniousclown
I'm always one to forget to check on the charge level of my weapon(s) while I play, so I made this add-on to do that for me.

When your weapons reach a customizable charge percentage, a little alert will show up with a color indicating just how badly you need to charge it!

While the window is showing, you can click on your weapon to instantly open the charge window for that weapon.

Commands:
/wca or /weaponchargealert
"lock" - lock the window (and hide it if necessary)
"unlock" - unlock the window and unhide it so you can move it around

example:
"/wca unlock"

Now soliciting German and French translations of the Settings page!

If you like ingeniousclown's add-ons, why not consider donating? Remember that this is IN NO WAY REQUIRED to enjoy these add-ons! Just think of it as an extra way to say "Hey man, I like what you've done. Can I buy you a beer?"

If you want to send appreciation to the current maintainer, perhaps you'd consider sending in-game gold to @katkat42 on NA? Again, it's NOT REQUIRED by ANY stretch of the imagination; it's just a way to say "Hey, I like your work. Can I buy you a Mountain Lager?"

Could you add a different style of the "Charge Bar" to this addon?

I would like a nice ESO looking bar that functions much like the Health Bar or even a dragable same style as the charge bar weapon enchants currently have on the main HUD/UI.

Personally I'd rather know just when it ran out or right before it runs out (1-5%) that way I can the most uses possible out of recharging. For me I find it kind of annoying to see the icon at 25% as that doesn't go to 0 so quick and using grand soul gems at that mark is wasteful.
I suppose this could do with an update for a settings menu.

I believe the logic I wrote around this add-on already supports this, I just don't have it wrapped for editing. You might be able to manually tweak the saved variables file in the meantime.

That might be your best bet, because this update may be a couple weeks out.
I second this please. I just want to know when it's time to recharge Otherwise awesome addon thank you very much!

Quick suggestion: A lot of addons are using the 'info expand' feature in the Addons part of the menus. It would be great if you put your basic Help info in there. I forgot that you couldn't drag the window normally and had to come back here to find the commands. Keeping it all in-game is a lot user-friendlier.

Edit: I don't know if this is possible but could the defaults be to line up with the existing weapon locations in the inventory window?

Before you invest much time in searching for this.
I think the following Handlers are doing what is requested here (code taken from my own addon, wich was kind of inspired by this one, and adapted to work on your "MAIN_WINDOW" control) just add them to the end of the "OnLoad" function and it should do the trick:

Code:
ZO_PreHookHandler(ZO_CraftingResultsTopLevel, 'OnShow', function () MAIN_WINDOW:SetHidden(true) end)
ZO_PreHookHandler(ZO_CraftingResultsTopLevel, 'OnHide', function () MAIN_WINDOW:SetHidden((not (MAIN_WEAPON.shouldShow or OFF_WEAPON.shouldShow)) and settings.locked) end)
ZO_PreHookHandler(ZO_InteractWindow, 'OnShow', function () MAIN_WINDOW:SetHidden(true) end)
ZO_PreHookHandler(ZO_InteractWindow, 'OnHide', function () MAIN_WINDOW:SetHidden((not (MAIN_WEAPON.shouldShow or OFF_WEAPON.shouldShow)) and settings.locked) end)
ZO_PreHookHandler(ZO_PlayerBank, 'OnShow', function () MAIN_WINDOW:SetHidden(true) end)
ZO_PreHookHandler(ZO_PlayerBank, 'OnHide', function () MAIN_WINDOW:SetHidden((not (MAIN_WEAPON.shouldShow or OFF_WEAPON.shouldShow)) and settings.locked) end)
ZO_PreHookHandler(ZO_GuildBank, 'OnShow', function () MAIN_WINDOW:SetHidden(true) end)
ZO_PreHookHandler(ZO_GuildBank, 'OnHide', function () MAIN_WINDOW:SetHidden((not (MAIN_WEAPON.shouldShow or OFF_WEAPON.shouldShow)) and settings.locked) end)
ZO_PreHookHandler(ZO_TradingHouse, 'OnShow', function () MAIN_WINDOW:SetHidden(true) end)
ZO_PreHookHandler(ZO_TradingHouse, 'OnHide', function () MAIN_WINDOW:SetHidden((not (MAIN_WEAPON.shouldShow or OFF_WEAPON.shouldShow)) and settings.locked) end)
ZO_PreHookHandler(ZO_MainMenuCategoryBar, 'OnShow', function () MAIN_WINDOW:SetHidden(true) end)
ZO_PreHookHandler(ZO_MainMenuCategoryBar, 'OnHide', function () MAIN_WINDOW:SetHidden((not (MAIN_WEAPON.shouldShow or OFF_WEAPON.shouldShow)) and settings.locked) end)

Don't think thats a good idea. You might want to buy a soul gem to recharge your weapon and therefore need to be alarmed. An option to dismiss the window would be a potential solution for what you want.

About the addon:
Does this version hide the WCA frame when opening any other UI elements? I found it kinda intrusive to see it when browsing the inventory for instance, as I moved it to a unfortunate position for the inventory interface.
If you lock the window, it will hide when it is not needed. Are you running around with it unlocked?
I have unlocked, moved, scaled set apha the window and then locked it again. The chat shows its locked but it shows up in all menus when my weapon is not chared
I'm confused. The point of the add-on is to display when your weapon isn't charged so you can know to charge it. It should go away if you have enough charge in your weapon.
It IS hiding when you charge your weapon, it won't hide however if you don't charge it, but open any menu (bags, char sheet, mail).
I'll have to look into giving it a good draw tier. I'll look at that sometime this week.

The notification should show regardless of which weapon you have equipped. As it is now, it hides if you swap to a charged secondary. There could also be a way to remove the background image, that would a pleasant addition.

Dual Wield issue

I am having an issue when dual wielding. It only seems to alert me when the off-hand item needs charging. Any ideas on how I can fix this?
