this addon has a great potential, right now he has a luck of many features, but i hope author will come back from summer vacation and will work on this addon to improve it
right now we need: 1. mechanism to adjust MM price manually 2. do not delete prices by time limit if there is no sales except one for current item 3. show similar prices for different color of apparel+weapons except jewerly if we havent any data bout current color
5. add /mm cleanup command to heavily reduce the size of saved variables and improve performace 6. add API to able to add tooltips for other addons 7. i hope Philgo have all of them in TODO list and not just ignored them |

You know the games has a limit on LUA memory and in that memory it must run each addon as it's triggered. I think you run the most addons of anyone I know. 100+ right? Then you ask an addon, which can not control what order it is run in or how much memory, if any is left, to grab to specific data from a large database and do complicated math routines. I will do the same test as you - I have none of the tool tip graph functions enabled as I didnt find a use for them but will turn them on an I bet I see almost no delay. I run around 28 addons with most of them being additions to other addons like restacker, harvens skills addons, inventory grid view with voltan search - mostly thing l like that. MM can not control when it's run in the addon stack, I'm sure 30+ addons must trigger as you move you mouse around like that so his program gets added to the queue. I bet if you turned everything off, just did what you did in that video and it would be so much faster. Programmers can only write code, we can control when they are run but we can't make our routines priority. Nor can we control how many days you keep of data or how many other addons that have the same trigger you are running. I see zero (yes zero) lag form MM, I also don't use the graph or some of the other features. I just re-watched the video and the sheer amount of addons being shown just in that screen cap amazes me. Just the stats you have all over the place update 1 simple thing or change a color but MM has to crunch data it first has to pull from a database on the fly! I'm amazed it did it that fast. Try it once, let it be the only addon running. As for Phil he hasn't replied in months and someone will eventually have to take over this adddon to add all the features you requested. I don't think it's going to happen. If Phil never comes back I can pull the GSA routines out of it and be self sufficient again but I would never take over MM. Too time consuming, does too many things and I'm not really even playing very often, if ever. -d |

I have the "in game" duplicate problem but I don't rely heavily on MM for very much I have most stuff turned off. This screen shot should give you a good idea how much I reply on it, and I have been thinking of reducing the sales history because you can only get EXACT data from the game 15 days back so why have MM hold more than that if I only rely on it for data and alerts :-) -d |

it does nothing its just idea
for example you have 50 sales of Ambrosia 5k each today they all recorded to saved variables so after /mm cleanup it must reduce the number of sales in 10 times, it will reduce the size of MM for great amount in summary and we will got 5 sales today for 5k from my old post

He stayed with the Shopkeeper style of savedvariables and to do what you want will probably slow the program down even more. He would have to collect all the data, compare and combine it but he HAS to take it from savedvariables because he can't query the game again because there is known problem that each sale always comes back with a different: ["timestamp"] = 1437315611 it saved sales in epoch time and it never gives you the same exact time - you could query a sale 10x and get 10 different time stamps. All sales tracking programs since the beginning try to query only once and then save that data and the next time you login it queries ONLY sales since you were last on. That's the cause of the duplicate issue. I fought with this myself when I was working on Shopkeeper. So it see's each sale as a NEW sale every single time. This means he is stuck with the savedvariables format and would have to create a new routine to do what you want and that would create a lot of lag and more saved variables. It could probably be done offline with a script (you can't change savedvariables while you are online because they exist in memory while you play and not on disk. ESO does not read savedvariables from disk if you are logged in, it loads them all into memory). But, then other routines would find the sales again, save them and since they have new "timestamp" and create more duplicates. This question is just for my curiosity, why do you need this much history? Wouldn't 15 days be just as good? I guess we sell and buy very differently. I rely on GSA for selling history and I don't use tool tips for pricing. I see via GSSEx what the prices are right at that very moment and I can compare that to what price I had been selling at (and which guild) so when I post an item I know for a fact it's either the best deal or the only one available at that guild. Well I did my best to answer your question. A separate standalone program that used a different saved variables format would probably be better. -d |

I wish I had a solution for you to add to MM but tbh I don't know his code at all. It's WAY more complex then Shopkeeper ever was. I only know the parts that keep GSA up to date. -d |

Tracking my purchases
Since I often resell things I find at a bargain or craft, it is useful to know what I paid. To find things I bought in my guilds I can search MM on my username and find all the stuff I bought or sold (maybe there is a better way to do this?).
What I can't do AFAIK is see purchases I make at other guild traders. I keep a little 10x12 whiteboard and dry erase markers to record those purchases but I don't always remember and besides, it's really annoying to have to have to interrupt my game play for that. Is there a better way to track those purchases? Or does anyone know of another addon (compatible with MM and AGS) that does that? |
