I don't know why you deleted you data. Please don't do that. There is no reason to do so. Requesting 10 days just to "see something" is a drain on the server. |

I deleted all my data (physically on the disk) and now when I log in, MM doesn't work at all. It took me a while to figure it out, but it needs MMdatasomething12 and 13?, but only up to 11 is automatically created.
That's after updating to 2.4.6. edit: 13,14 and 15 are missing.

Re: Help!
I have exactly the same problem. The (missing etc) commands do not work. After starting the game, the addon communicates that when the scan is over, the commands will work. Unfortunately, the startup scan does not end and it is not possible to load any historical sale. |

Help!
I'm not sure what happened. MM worked fine last night, I logged out less than 12 hours ago, and have not made any changes to my addons since. And today I get this upon login and while the game says the addon is loaded, it's not giving me any data and the sales columns are missing from my roster (settings say they're supposed to be there). Reinstalling the addon did not work.

Can I ask what the situation is with verbosity atm.
The method I used in the past for loading sales data for the period between my last login and my current login was to set verbosity to 4 so I could see the % of each guild scan. I would then run through each guild history sales (by pressing E) until MM showed 100% for that guild (I am never offline for more than 3 days so I always had full data). Once it hit 100% for a guild I would do the next guild. The entire process took less than a minute (despite being in several major trade guilds) and it always gave me full data each day. I would then put verbosity back to 2 for the rest of the day and let MM process any new data sent from ZOS as I was playing. My issue now is that the verbosity settings don't seem to be doing anything, I rarely see the % anymore (even at verbose 5) so I am having to load data via E based on when I was last online rather than via watching the % of the scan process. Also what's the procedure/timeframe for having the data from this week move to last week after a trader flip? It use to be immediate and as a GM you could sort ranks etc but now it doesn't change straight away and requires me to do a full reboot of the game

People keep thinking that guild history is like a video streaming service. If you request it then it will come to you. If it doesn't people have been blaming MM. I will be adding more descriptive messages to help eliminate the confusion. You can request guild history from the guild history tab. If you don't then you may not automatically receive any. Requests to the server from MM are typically denied. What I'm doing at the moment is researching how MM works. As I figure it out I can make adjustments. Over time it should flow pretty smoothly. However, it will never be that MM can demand data for you and you just wait. There is no server status message either of "you have more data waiting" in the sense that the server doesn't keep track of what you have. The server doesn't cache your data for you. So when you log in, if you have processed 10 days of data already then you do not need to do that again. If you have not logged in for a day, then request one day of history and process it. I will try to make processing it smoother as I figure things out. Thanks

One time only procedure once you update to 2.4.4
1. Manually scan your guilds sales data by pressing E to manually update the history. NOTE: Stop pressing E if MM informs you in the chat window that it is starting a scan. Ignore it if it says no new sales found. 2. Keep updating your history until you can not press E. Again stopping for scans and ignore the scan results. 3. Once all guild history is updated use /mm missing to process the guild history loaded in memory. This will make your game laggy so do this when you have time and are not doing other things. Once you have 10 days of data for each guild and you run /mm missing you do not need to then repeat that every day. Scanning 10 days of history every day is just pointless. However, gauge how long you have not been online. If you have not been on for less then 24 hours then make sure you manually scan guild history when you log on, but for one day only. Then run /mm missing. Next version I will try to eliminate some of the need to do that but I don't think you will be able to escape using /mm missing because of how the server gives users guild sales history. I will probably make it an alias and add a new command /mm scanall because you are scanning all of the guild history loaded in memory.
Warning: Spoiler
I am sorry but I had to remove most of the performance improvements that Philgo introduced in 2.3.1 which was his last version he uploaded himself. With that version it broke the Master Merchant sales window for your personal sales but not the sales for all the guilds you are in. You will still have times when you know you have received hundreds or thousands of sales from the server. Wait for any scanning to finish, even if it tells you no new sales found. After the previous operation completes, then use "/mm missing" and let that run. I also highly recommend using /mm missing prior to logging off. At this time there are still performance issues. I will be addressing them as time permits. Removing Simple Indexing and Simple Scanning will introduce old performance issues. There isn't anything I can do about that at this time. I went with functionality over performance for now. Once the admins approve 2.4.4 download that and see how well /mm missing works now. You may also need to reload your UI at least once. As far as the gaps go that is because of how the scanning works. Basically ATT, Shissu's guild tools, and MM are all using the same methods for obtaining guild history. It all comes from the same place. There is no way to get any of the history differently. It also starts at 0 history every time you log in. It appears that MM tries to keep track of the beginning and the ending of the list of sales before it starts scanning. Once it sets the beginning and the end then it knows if it receives new sales, processes them and if you receive older data go to the last place you scanned to and start there so you are not looping over data you already collected. You can imagine looping over 100 to 1000 sales won't take much time. Cycling over 10,000 or more events depending on how busy the trading guild is will slow down your game considerably. So to me the current system is flawed by nature as I am discovering. I am still writing a guild history cache but it is plagued by the same issues MM is. The reason it is so flawed is because as any mod is in a loop processing 1 to X sales, guild history is being received from the last few minutes or hours. Then you have what is in memory. Lastly what is on the server going back 10 days. If the mod is trying to mark the beginning and end to save time the next time you scan, this is happening on the live feed. So it changes before the process finishes. Making the marks invalid. I was thinking of handling it with a buffer. When you load the game the server starts you over with 0 history. You will get the first 100 if you go to the guild history and choose a guild. You have to do this for all guilds. By putting those in a buffer I could then track the beginning and the end because it won't change. Then when you receive more data try to start at the beginning and stop when you have reach data you have. Then start at the end and count backwards till you reached what was the last sale you had in the buffer. As I think through this in my mind I feel I am basically stuck between a rock and a hard place. Users want the data and don't want the game to be laggy while processing it. However, by trying to not process sales you already have I am spending more time calculating what you do have.
