This addon allows you to control what to display on the Tamriel map.

You can:
  • Hide all the wayshrines
  • Show just the capital's wayshrines
  • Show or hide Dungeons or Trials
  • Show or hide owned or unowned Houses
  • Show or hide Wayshrines, Dungeons, Trials and Houses individually

This addon is based on the addon NoThankYou by Ayantir, which is discontinued.

Show or hide the Dungeon Wayshrines
The symbols shown in the screenshots are for 12-player Trials. The Map display has an icon on the upper right which, when you click the Left Mouse Button on it, displays the Map symbols with a label for each one. You need to distinguish among Delves, Public Dungeons, 4-Player Dungeons, and Trials. ...... Welcome to add-on development. The first thing you learn is that there is always more work to do.

You are right, in the 4th screenshot are both Group Instances and Trials, but they are referred as "Dungeons" in the "Key" tab of the map, that's why in the description I wrote "Dungeons" (also, I used the same terminology of the original addon, "Not Thank You").
The addon works only on the Tamriel map, not in the areas map, so no Delves nor Public Dungeons :P

'Guildshrines'

Thanks a lot for this addon, it has helped me finally let go of 'No Thank You!'.

I wonder, could you add the Eyevea and Earth Forge wayshrines? I use the Guildshrines addon, which is way out of date.

Eyevea shows up but the Earth Forge does not.

I guess because the Earth Forge is in a part of Skyrim yet to be released, according to the Guildshrines addon. I see it there when I switch all the wayshrines back on in this addon, but it would help me tidy up old addons if this addon showed Eyevea and the Earthforge.

Thank you very much for this addon, it works perfectly! This was the one feature of 'No Thank You' that I've missed the most.

There are however two small syntax errors in the settings. First, the un-owned homes setting is spelled incorrectly as "Unwowned Houses" and I believe it should be "Unowned Houses", unless there's something exciting about unWOWned houses.

Second error is the tooltip for the same unowned houses setting. The tooltip reads "Choose the behavior of maps for ownowned Houses" but I believe it should be "Choose the behavior of maps for Unowned Houses".

I had reported this a long time back on the No, Thank You comments but it never got fixed. I know it doesn't break anything with the addon itself but hopefully you agree that it should read correctly anyway.

EDIT: I fixed it myself by editing lines 56 & 57 to WorldMapWayshrinesController.lua
56 WMWC_UNOWNED_HOUSES = "Unowned Houses",
57 WMWC_UNOWNED_HOUSES_TOOLTIP = "Choose the behavior of maps for Unowned Houses",

I edited that as well. All the above edits work as intended.

Maelstrom Arena still shows on my Tamriel map even though I have dungeons marked as "Hide Everything". Please fix this.

suggestion

is it possible to add the option to show a quest marker on the world map for the currently active quest? so many times i grab a quest that sends me to an entirely different zone and i sit there hovering my mouse over every single zone just trying to figure out where the frick it is.

Go in the Journal Tab right click on the Quest and "Show on Map" (or something similar, playing on german client)

Dear AcheronTheFox, dear users,
I'm not playing ESO anymore and therefor won't update this addon.

This said, you can hide or un-hide all wayshrines, dungeons and trials and what there is in the menu, so without any updates you should be able to keep the addon functioning!
So for new regions just hide all wayshrines you don't want to see with the override.

Only if there'd be errors because the ESO-API has changed the addon would break and not be usable anymore.

Put any override switch in place for only this very wayshrine in the addon’s menu, close the game, then check saved variable for the ID in the override section.
