Agreed, although I'd use such a feature to primarily remove those skill lines I will never have any interest in like many weapon or crafting skills.

This addon also paves the way for things like showing when new abilities unlock, etc. It would be killer to be able to select abilities you're waiting on and have this overview highlight the skill when they unlock (bold, color, a "new" flag, etc). The highlight stays on until you either take the ability or remove the ability from the list.

Lastly, perhaps with a setting, show only the percent complete. Some may not want the xp minutia but would like an idea of where the skills are at. Even better, mouse over the skill to get the minutia (xp numbers, upcoming/unlocked abilities, etc).

Lots of potential.

First off, great idea for an add-on! I'm currently veteran ranked with most stuff @ 50 already.

Is there anyway you can add an option to show specific skill lines? Not specific skills themselves just the lines.

While leveling up, I try to work on a specific skill line and would be amazing if there was an option to show just that skill alone, on screen.

For Example: Having Destruction Staff and Light Armor on screen by themselves w/o showing ALL skills. This way I can keep these on screen all the time, with minimal space used, and know when I can switch training them.

This way it would help with constantly toggling the addon on/off, and using a large portion of my screen.

Regards,
Gremaldy

I will be adding this functionality shortly. However, the starting position of the window will not be saved if you log out or if you reload your UI in the next release. I will be adding code for saving the starting position of the window down the road, but this should help out for now.

Many Thanks

Window position now saved locally

The Beta 1.4 version, which is now available, saves your skill tracker window position locally for each of your characters. It also hides the window properly so you can click through it as expected. Let me know if you still encounter any problems and I will try to address the issues when able.

Thanks again for pointing that out, James405!

Yes, I noticed that too yesterday but haven't had a chance to fix it yet. I think that occurs because I am not actually hiding the frame, just setting the alpha to 0. I'll work on converting it to a hidden frame so you can actually click through it as soon as I can. Thanks!

Been looking for something like this, if/when you're able to track individual skills I will definitely use it. Thanks for taking the time to put the general idea together as I had not seen one yet.

edit: To be able to select which skills to track would be great - but I'm sure you have something like that planned.

I honestly got tired of opening my skills menu and clicking each individual skill type to view the rank and XP progress for class, weapon, and armor skills specifically, hence the current build. However, if the API allows me to obtain the individual ability ranks (which I think it does) then I should have a more robust version in place for displaying all of the necessary information...eventually. Thanks!
