DESCRIPTION
This addon includes many camera features to enhance the game experience.
Gain total control and enjoy all the world using the camera settings you want depending on what you do.
  • Control!
    ⋅ Add some useful bindings to control the camera: shoulder swap, center, …
  • Don't change!
    ⋅ Prevent the camera change that occurs on interactions: chatting, craft stations, style station, lockpicking, …
  • Dynamic!
    *NEW* Camera can be configured to dynamically change when you're moving,
    ⋅ Replace the camera change for each interaction type with a custom one,
    ⋅ Configure your own camera change on “events”: mounting, stealth, combat, draw/sheath weapon, werewolf.
  • Enjoy!
    ⋅ For each interaction and event, you can choose to switch to first or third person, and modify the camera position, zoom and field of view.

BINDINGS
  • Swap camera shoulder side,
  • Toggle camera in center position,
  • Swap / Toggle (If you prefer using only one keybind: 1 press to center, 2 to switch side),
  • All the above got 2 possible bindings: 1 for a smooth switch, and 1 for a fast instant switch,
  • Toggle siege camera.
  • Toggle distant camera.
  • Bindings for static cameras.

SETTINGS
  • Cross-characters settings
    ⋅⋅⋅
  • Camera preferred parameters: distance, field of view, and horizontal/vertical position. It overrides the regular camera settings.
    ⋅⋅⋅
  • 3 static cameras can be configured. Only works with keybindings.
    ⋅⋅⋅
  • Prevent any camera change on interactions : talking to NPCs, using craft stations, lockpicking, reading, siege.
    That really is better for immersion not to change the camera on each interaction! You can't imagine.
    For example, when you talk with someone, the camera won't focus on them.
    (I recommand to allow the camera change for “Stations”, anyway, that's strange to craft without moving.)
  • Use your own camera settings when in interactions.

  • Automatically change any of your camera settings when "events" occur: chatting, mounting, in stealth, wielding weapons, in combat, in werewolf form.
  • *NEW* “On movement” event has been added, camera feels more dynamic that ever!
  • Preset can be picked between: None / Center camera on 3rd person / Switch to 1st person / Switch to 3rd person / Custom (Do what you want).
  • There are also some specific parameters for the events: use combat to trigger draw weapon, delay to restore for combat, keep minimal distance while in werewolf…
  • Option to prevent another camera change when on mount.

Hmm after I mount the camera doesn't change anymore, tried installing manually and deleting all files, turned all addons off except this one. Camera works fine until I mount then nothing except the move up and down, not sure what I am doing wrong here.


So I solved it for now by disabling the mount behavior and it seems to work as attended.

I found a little workaround.

NOTE: this is in MY case. Im not garantee another settings.

I use:
- 'restore preferred camera' ON
- ON MOUNTED in event driven cameras to 'center in the 3rd person'

In this case, make this line in NTakCamera.lua (line 601) to be a COMMENT (put -- in begining)
-> if IsMounted() and GetCameraDistance() > 0 then return end -- Ignore status for 1st person

save, then /reloadUI

I hope this make sense for you guys while waiting for NTAK to make an update.

tried your fix but cant quite make sense of your instructions. i changed the add on settings and reloaded ui as u instructed then i edited the lua and added in two lines like this:

["lockpickPreventCam"] = true,
["wieldAction"] = "Do nothing",
["ifIsMounted"] = 0,
["GetCameraDistance"] = "Ignore status for 1st person",
["staticCamera2"] =

really just guessed that was mabie what you meant ie add a line ["ifIsMounted"] = 0,
then add in ["GetCameraDistance"] = "Ignore status for 1st person",
added in the lines at the very bottom of my main character settings as my lua does not have a line 601 probably because you have more characters than me

diddnt change anything for me. Would you be able to copy and paste the edited section of your lua? Would really like to use this plugin to control mount camera behaviour, what am i doing wrong? thanks

Hey guys,



I've tested a few times and didn't encounter any issue.
After riding, camera goes back to preferred camera.

Is the issue still there for some people ? Or was it corrected with a game update ?
You can toggle the debug in chat by typing /ntcam_debug.
