Clarity  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.0.5
by: Dio [More]
Clarity reduces addon UI clutter by allowing you to show or hide frames with a keybind.

Clarity puts frames in three groups:

  • Detected Addons - Frames that are definitely from an addon.
  • Other Frames - Frames that are most likely from an addon.
  • Advanced - Frames that are not from an addon. For example, if you want to hide the compass and toggle it with Clarity, you would check "Compass" and "CompassFrame".

How to use

Simply check the frames you want Clarity to affect, then make sure you have Clarity keybound under "Controls -> Keybindings -> General -> Clarity -> Toggle Clarity".

Remember to reload the UI after making changes!

Possible upcoming features

  • Toggle specified frames only if in or out of combat.
Version 1.0.5

- Should fix Clarity's options menu not showing up, as well as the keybinding not showing.
- Clarity now initiates upon EVENT_PLAYER_ACTIVATED, instead of addon loading. This gives it a high chance of all TLWs being registered.
- Some code refactoring.

Version 1.0.4-Fix

- Reuploaded. OS X sort of messed up the folder structure of the archive.

Version 1.0.4

- New option: "Toggle Upon Menu". Clarity will activate automatically upon entering any character menus. Does not apply to system menus. Clarity will return to its previous state after leaving any character menus.
- Clarity now enforces itself to be hidden. It does this by removing the ability for other TLWs to hide themselves (temporarily assign SetHidden to an empty function). It's possible this could have some unseen consequences, for example if a frame continually checks if it's hidden and tries to show itself. Please report any bugs.
- Various code refactoring.

Version 1.0.3

- Clarity can now apply to core TLWs (ZO_*). For example, if you wanted to hide the compass and toggle it with Clarity.
- This version will reset your Clarity settings due to core changes. (Sorry, I forgot to mention that when I posted the addon!)

Version 1.0.2

- Bug: If multiple TLWs of one detected addon exist, use the TLW's unique name instead of the non-unique addon name. Fix for addons like "Recount".
- Small fix to sort addons by title instead of name.

Version 1.0.1

- Sort the "Detected AddOns" and "Other Frames" lists.

Beautiful addon! Just have several requests/suggestions.

1) Conditionals. Show a certain hidden element when attacked, when resources are not 100%, when in combat, etc. (Thinking of unit frames here!)

2) Able to bind individual hidden elements in addition to hiding all of them via keybind. In this way we could only see addons when we want them, but not all at once.

In and Out of Combat

Are you still working on adding this feature. This would make an already awesome mod a to die for addition that everyone would want. I don't see how people don't want this already anyway.

Good Job and hopefully you add the

In and Out of combat fade soon. I want to have my compass and chat box go invisible in combat so so much.

heyo! great mod, i just can't seem to find the core frame that handles quest pins in 3D space :s I'd love to turn those pins off on doors and over NPCs heads while maintaining quest pins on the map!

thanks

Anyone know which core frame handles those quest pins in 3D space?
