This addon provides a rule-based system to put items in your junk bag or destroy them

Unlike the other automatic junking addons, JunkBuster allows you to filter items by any combination of the following criteria:
  • Name
  • Item Type
  • (Specialized) Item Type
  • Equipment slot
  • Weapon/Armor type
  • Level
  • Price
  • Quality
  • Trait
  • Actor type (Player or Companion)
  • Item is crafted or not
  • Item is stolen or not
  • Item has a set bonus or not
  • Recipee is known or not

For example, you can set it to only junk the ingredients you loot that have 0g price value, or the normal quality (white) stolen treasures (but not the green ones).

Other Features:
  • The addon can automatically sell junked items to a merchant (not stolen items) or a fence (stolen items) when visiting them
  • You can add exemption rules that save and unjunk any special item that you want skipped by junkBuster
  • You can add rules to DESTROY items upon looting
    Warning: Be very careful with the destroy option. Destroyed items CAN NOT be returned.

The screenshots show some sample rules that I use when playing.
There is an extended logging option available which provides the info for every looted item in the chatbox so you can fine-tune or make new junking rules.

  • Allow <=, >=, == selections for item quality
  • Add support for FCO Item Saver
  • Allow addon to apply rules to (guild) bank too?

sadly I don't have much time to devote to addon development, so new features are probably not happening anytime soon. Only bug fixes or updates for game updates (if needed). Someone else is very welcome to produce their own updated version of JunkBuster though

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but is there any chance/possiblity to have some cooperation between this mod and LootDrop, so that this mod can (optionally) output what it has done with items into their "Loot Window", instead of into the chat?

this answer might be slightly late but you can take a look at the file where JunkBuster stores its saved settings. it should be at this location:
C:\Users\<windows user name>\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\SavedVariables\JunkBuster.lua

Settings are stored based on account names in large sections encompassed by wavy brackets {} prefaced with ["@yourAccName"] = You could copy one section and change its respective title.

you have to select item type "Armor" and then armor type "Clothing"

and sorry for the dumb question.

on my main account once i made a rule to auto-destroy stolen armorless clothings
this is rule 21


now i can not reproduce this rule on any account (including the main one)
the offered item types are


How do i reproduce rule 21 "Destroy any Trash quality CLOTHING with no traits which is stolen" ??

Is it possible for you to add option to extract rules and copying to another copy of the addon? I've multiple accounts and i have to readd all the rules i have set before. Nothing really big but it would be great for me.

honestly I never thought about / tested how it'll work on a gamepad.
However this addon doesn't have any (required) user interfaces besides its settings page which is written with LibAddonMenu-2.0. So it'll probably depend on that how easy settings and rules can be accessed. For certain types of item properties there are text inputs (Item name, level requirements, price, ...), others are dropdown fields to select from.
Auto sell junk in particular is practically interaction free. After this feature turned on once in the settings menu it'll automatically sell all items marked as junk once you open the merchant/fence menu. It uses the default ESO junk flag for this purpose. Then it'll post a summary of what it sold in the chat window (with user configurable detail level).

simply put a "Keep" rule that keeps "Etched Adamantite" before the one that junks/destroys "Adamantite". This will keep the former but junk the later. (You can reorder already created rules with the "Select rule", "Move target rule" and finally "Move" button below the rules list).

I don't understand exactly what you want to do?

JunkBuster doesn't remember if any item in your backpack is marked as junk or not. It applies rules you set through its configuration page to any new item you loot (and the stack its placed upon). Those rules can either mark the item stack as junk, or delete it outright (and "keep" rules prevent following rules to be applied). The way the game determines what is a "new" item excludes items transferred between backpack and (guild) banks / housing chests, so item picked up from those storages are ignored.
Thank you for the explanation! All the time while i was editing rules i was trying with soul gem and ornate items that i bought back from the vendors. So they were not newly made and kept ignored because how it's work. Now that i tried with new daily writ quest and it has junked all the items i want it to junk and was able to sell them successfully. Truly amazing addon! I was using both Dustman and Personal Assisstant to solve my junk problems but you have just made it easier for me. Hoping to see updated and guild banks included in the future!

sadly not all items where intuition would dictate have reliable values in the level/CP requirement properties set. At least armor, jewellery, weapons, and i think potions/poisons have them working. Crafting materials haven't set it correctly, so there is nothing but the item name to distinguish them from each other.

You can check most item properties used by JunkBuster for a given item with the chat command:
/jbil item-link
