DESCRIPTION
This addon includes many dialog features, to enhance the game experience and to customize it your way.
All-in-one, without fancy colors or custom fonts, in order to stick with a sober interface.
/!\ I recommend to not use a custom UI scale to prevent any improper behaviour.
  • Customize!
    ⋅ Resize and tweak the dialog window,
    ⋅ Tweak all the content: Title, text, and options,
    ⋅ Add nice icons and/or numbers before chat options,
  • Keep history!
    ⋅ Keep an eye on the history of the conversation,
    (I suggest you to vertically shift the window to display more history)
  • Use animation!
    ⋅ Use the text fading animation to make it appear while the NPC is talking,
    ⋅ Customize the speed for regular and some specific dialogs.
  • Specify behavior!
    ⋅ For some specific dialogs, you can mute the NPC, auto-open the store, and speed-up or instantly display the content.

CORRECTIONS
  • In texts, replaces any double space by a single space in texts,
  • In texts, corrects the missing space between the end of a sentence and the beginning of the next (“. A”).
  • For important dialogue options, when using a keyboard, it requires a second key-press for confirmation.

  • Implement features in gamepad mode. As I am not actively playing the game, I don't have a planned date for that, sorry guys!
  • Prevent auto-open store if a pledge option is detected.

Yes, it is possible. But I have to ask: Why, and for which text ?

In fact, for now I've tried to not alter “much” the game.
For example by only allowing the default and the old-yellowish color for the title.
It was a choice not to add a color picker to keep the game “feeling”.

I'm already aware of an issue with the title alignment.

It will be corrected today, and german language will be added.

Added german language and corrected the issue with the title alignment.
Also added a new setting to gray out the "Goodbye" option.

Well.. the whole dialog text.
Name of the NPC and what they are saying.
I have this issue that i start reading the text instead of listening and looking at the NPC, so i was hoping to reduce the opacity to make it less distracting.

It is hard to focus and listen when there is already the whole text displayed.

Don't you use the setting to hide the whole text?
I'm afraid adding an opacity setting will change too much the game feeling. But… I'll may gonna give it a try in 0.6.

Right now i have the chat window width set to the minimum, which actually helps quite a lot.
If only there was a way to center the camera on the NPC, instead of the offset to the left.

I've released the version with the text fade-in.

For the camera, you might want to try NTak Camera, as it can prevent the camera change on interaction (chatting, for example). It feels far more natural, in my opinion.

Do you still feel the need for the transparency setting ?

I'm aware of all the add-ons that disable the dialoge camera..
But i like the close-up camera. Just need it centered on the NPC really.

Having resized the dialog text window to the minimum i feel like i could live without the transparency.

Nice can set my response text to be larger without it trailing off-screen now so can confirm it's working. Thanks for the quick fix!

I like to hide the NPC text but also having answer display when they finish to talk.
Could you add an option to delay the display of answers ?

Hey lexo1000,

Glad to hear you like it.

It will be kind of easy to add a delay…
But as the delay is not the same for all NPCs, I have to think about a better way.
( Something like a "NPC speech finished" event would be wonderful. )

Anyway, I agree that options/answers should be displayed only after they finished talking.
I'll be working on it.

I said that I'll may give it a try. It's done!

Version 0.7:
Added a "content transparency" setting. Maximum 50% to not alter much the game.
