Overview

DuraMeter is an addon that will display a small box on the screen to give you an idea of how damaged your gear is overall at all times. It also features a function when you hover over the frame with your mouse, it will give you individual conditions in a new window.

If you would like to see the individual items durability in their slot on the equipment menu check out Biki's Inventory Item Borders addon.

Features
  • Displays average durability of all items equipped.
  • Will display indiviual item durabiliy upon hover of main frame.
  • Saves position between sessions on each character.
  • Able to toggle the Background of the main frame with the command /durameterbg
  • Will save if you toggle background per character.

On a side note, I have enabled outside patching, as this addon is working as intended for it's purpose, so I don't see any code changes happening on my end. However, if you'd like to add some functionality to it, feel free to upload it as a patch.

Is there a way to move the per-item details Durability list window? It overlaps with other windows in my case. Of course there is always an option to edit the script a bit but any "official" way?

Change font and increase Frame scale

Would it be possible for you to add the functionality to change the size of the frame width/height as well as add controls for the fonts being used?

I scale my UI all the way down via the in game ui scaler, I then adjust my mods via their settings to get things just the way I want. This mod get's pretty small with the UI scaled all the way down and to compound the issue; the font is white which makes it that much more difficult to see...

I would really like to be able to change the font's color so that it is easier to read, also being able to scale the frame would be helpful for aesthetic reasons.. Being able to move the output frame and or disable it would be a nice addition too...

Nevermind, I figured out a way to make it work by changing a line in the .xml file for the x,y position of the dialog. All those years long ago scripting in mIRC kinda stuck with me...lol. I just changed this line shown here in yellow by opening the file up with a notepad and changing the X, Y position of the dialog untill I got it where I wanted it.

In case anyone else wants to try it MAKE SURE YOU SAVE A BACKUP COPY OF THE .XML FIRST INCASE YOU SCREW UP!!!

The X value 30 is how far from the left in pixels the dialog is (in this case 30).
The Y value is how far from the top it is. After you make the changes, save the notepad file (ctrl+s works).

This will change the default location for all of your characters. Hopefully the author doesn't mind me posting this workaround for those who don't mind a little DIY.

Can't get it to remember it's position

Every time I relog the small meter part is right back in the chat box and i have to move it again.
I tried the /durameterbg command but it did not seem to work. Is there a some other way to get
it to remember it's position?
