This addon depends on the following libraries:
-LibAddonMenu-2.0
-LibAddonMenu SoundSlider Widget

FCO Ultimate Sound

This addon is able to turn off, or change, the sound which is played, if your ultimate abilities reach 100%.

Currently you are able to:
  • Select from all ingame sounds to play (only UI sounds are able to be selected, no skill, combat, mount, whatever sounds -> Impossible!)
  • Set different sounds for weapon bar 1 and weapon bar 2
  • Enable the ultimate ready sound only if you are in combat
  • Always play the ultimate ready sound if you switch your weapon bars (and the ultimate is ready)
  • or just switch the sound off if you don't need it

In addition this addon is able to play a sound if you switch your weapon bars. Choose from 567 different sounds. Set different sounds for your 2 weapon bars.
Sound will be played before the ultimate sound.
And it will only be played out of combat if you tell the addon to do so.

The addon comes with a LAM settings panel.
Standard settings:
-Play ultimate ready sound only in combat
-Always play ultimate ready sound if you switch weapon bars

Chat commands:
/fcoultimatesound or /fcous (they are both the same)

"/fcous" Show help
"/fcous toggle" Toggle the "Ultimate ready" sound on/off
"/fcouss" Open the 'FCO Ultimate Sound' settings panel

If you want other sounds to select from please tell me which sound (only available ingame sounds, no custom sounds!) you would like to have added and I'll add it.

The slider is sorted alphabetically and by changing the slider the label will show the name of the currently selected. So you are able to select the old values as before via the slider easily.

This addon is now able to play a sound if you switch your weapon bars.

Yes, that were the settings I had in my mind.
If they are on and you still cannot hear any ultimate ready sound you got any addon supressing it then.
Disable all addons via the "Addons OFF" button top left at the addon manager and test if you hear it then at least, as it is ready.
But afaik it will only play as you get to the ready state (like filling it during fight, where it was not ready before already).

It's there and plays fine for me with vanilla UI, no addons enabled.
It's the sound "ABILITY_ULTIMATE_READY" in the sounds list.
-> My addon just "replaces" this one with your chosen sound and thus it plays at the same time as the game would play the original sound then.

So this is triggered from the ultimate ready animation at the action bar.

If this is not played for you it's either any other addon supressing it, or as your video showed you only got mine enabled (and it works well for me, just have tested it today), I'm not sure why it's not being played for you

Maybe it is connected to the ultimate settings in the vanilla game settings where it shows the values at the ultimate button?
Try to enable this and see if a sound is played then once the ultimate reaches the value to be executed.
Perhaps ZOs code somehow connects to these settings (which would be a shame if they changed that!) because the PlaySound API call is within the animation timeline, when the ultimate is full -> shows such blinking frame at the ultimate button to visually show you it is ready.

My game never do a sound for my ultimate (I think ?) and I don't see an option in the sound settings. I would have not try this addon if I would have had a sound. I mainly use only my first bar in PVE so adding a sound when I switch is almost completely useless. I do PVP only once per day (the pvp sets are ****s, I have nothing to farm there).

If you could change this I would use the ultimate option. Meanwhile I'll just use the bar switch sound.

Okay I've checked the addon and everything works as intended:
The ultimate sound is nt autoamtically played if you enter combat and fight for longer time.
It's only played when the normal "ultimate ready" sound is played too!

Means:
As you ultimate get's to the needed value, played once.

And what you can do as bonus with this addon:
Enable to play that as you switch weapon bars so it repeats the ultimate ready sound as you figh andswitch your rotation bars.
And setup this to only happen as you are in combat, or also play it outside of combat.

Means in your example:
If you reach ultimate ready state during combat you will hear the sound you have setup for the active weapon bar.
If you switch the weapon pairs afterwards without using the ultimate it will play that sound again during this current fight, as a reminder.
Next fight it will be not playing the ultimate ready sound anymore if it was still ready before the fight.

You need to enable the setting "Play on weapon switch" as this will repeat the uötimate ready sound, if it is ready, during weapon switch then.
One could also add a setting to play the ultimate ready sound once combat starts, as a reminder (as the vanila game doesn't do that), if that helps ?

That's how it should actually already work: Play sound as ultimate is ready (lowest needed value) -> Buggy

Every 60seconds: Won't implement this as the ultimate ready sound plays as you get ino combat, or in combat as you reach ultimate value.
There is no API to check for the max value and implementing a timer etc. is nothing I'm interested in, sorry.

Bear attacks:
Not possible as there is no "easy" API to detect attacks of the ultimate warden bear. Would need me to add more logic and events for combat -> performance decrease again.

So, for both cases:
Effort to implement and especially test this, in combination with all the other addons out there, is nothing I want to do.
Imo the current way it works (or should work) will be enough to see/hear that ultimate is ready. There also exists a visual warner which goes away as you used the ultimate again (https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info...eReminder.html).

It does the ultimate sound when I enter a new area (and my bear is automatically casted in new areas). I tried removing it from my fast bar and casting it. I didn't heard the sound, that's weird. I would like to hear the sound every time I gain 75 ultimate.

Also when I'm maxed (500) I would like to hear the sound every 60 seconds. (the best for PVP would be every time the bear attack but for PVE it would be extremely annoying as I prefer saving it for a hard mob or a boss).

Thanks for the feedback but without providing more details I cannot help here.
It works for me and others so maybe it's some other addon interfering here.

You need to disable ohers and test with this addon alone. if this does not work for any particular settings tell me how you have setup and tested it and I might find a fix.
For all other combinations: Your homework as I cannot see what addons you use, how you setup them, what to do when my addon here does not work then (and: I do not find the time to check that on myself for any possibilities!).

Thank you for this. A little addon doing almost nothing but super important. I'm using the addon "FancyActionBar" to make my 2 fastbars clearer but now with this addon it will be super clear when I'm doing PVP
