Customisable Immersive HUD Hider
Version: 1.3
by: Alfthebigheaded [More]
Allows you to hide specific UI elements on a single key. Completely customizable using a settings menu.

Have you ever wanted to immerse yourself whilst questing?
Or hide those pesky HUD elements for your role-playing endeavors?

One thing that annoyed me about the vanilla hide UI hotkey, is that whilst great for screenshots - it is unusable for gameplay as it also hides dialog prompts, use of the map and just about everything else.
Customisable Immersive HUD Hider allows you to customise which UI elements to hide, allowing you to quest with full immersion!

You could use it to hide everything but your dialog and interaction prompts, for an immersive questing experience, or just to hide your compass or any other HUD element! The choice is yours, and it's all toggleable with your own set hotkey.

Currently in early release, supported HUD elements include:
  • Vanilla HUD elements
  • AUI Unit Frames
  • AUI Minimap
  • AUI Action Bar
  • AUI Quest Tracker
  • Mods that reskin vanilla UI (e.g. Dark UI, Azurah Interface Enhanced)
  • LootDrop Reborn
  • Votan's Minimap
  • Minimap by Fyrakin
  • Ravalox' Quest Tracker
Please let me know if you encounter any issues, suggest any tweaks, or would like support for a specific addon.

I recommend pairing this mod with Combat Reticle by Aetheron to handle the dynamic crosshair.
Remember to set your keybind and toggle the options you would like to hide in the settings menu!

Would it be possible to add the ability to hide/show the performance stats frame? (Framerate/Latency)

Can this please hide the companion health bar; they're either dead or alive, there's nothing I can do to help them lol.

Stamina bar, again, I'm either out of breath or I'm not, can this show when I'm out of stamina so I can stop a moment otherwise it should be hidden.

And can you hide the top right location names please. I don't care what the locations are, there's too many to remember and I set waypoints on the map anyway.

I've been to these places before, I know what they are (vaguely).

I decided to try this out again, as you said it works with the UI rework I use. I might have an idea if something else was messing with it. However, when I installed it, I have NO add-on menu at all. The keybind setting is there. The slash command also works to toggle it but I do not have a menu to actually change things. I had a Saved Variable left over from when I tried before so delete that and relaunched it. Nope! Does not show up. I have the requested library as well.

Know what's up with this? I dunno maybe the library needs to get updated or something.

Would there be any way to add a toggle to hide these icons on the map?
I'm really glad to hear that you are enjoying using this addon!

Unfortunately all icons in the cities are discovered by default, so I don't think there's a way to only hide undiscovered icons in cities

I can take a look and see if there's a way to set them as undiscovered, but it seems that TrueExploration had a similar discovery.

I will take a look!

Should be able to implement this change pretty quickly, I'll let you know when the update goes live
Update 1.25 now includes options for chat hiding
Thank you! It's working great in Keyboard UI with Keyboard Chat.

GamePad UI with Keyboard Chat has an issue that I'm positive is coming from the developers and not any addons (ie, gamepad UI with force open the keyboard chat when you enter the inventory screen essentially nullifying hiding the chat).

I ended up switching to Gamepad UI with gamepad chat to get around it.

Fixed in update 1.23

I use an addon for the quest tracker so I totally forgot about the default game quest tracker, woops
It works beautifully now don't think I'll be able to play without it. Thanks again!
I am happy to hear it!! No problem

seriously though, know how long I've been looking for a hide crosshairs mod?!

EDIT: arrrrrrrrrrrgh it doesn't work with Azura ui
I will need to add support for most new UI addons, which I am happy to do as requests

Could you elaborate on which addon this is?

The only addon I could find similar was Azurah Interface Enhanced? Customisable immersive hud hider works with this mod out of the box.

Thanks!

Smile Re: Update 1.22

I have just uploaded update 1.22 which should fix both of these issues you were having!
Thank you again for your report.
