Loot Filter  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 0.3 Alpha QF
by: Kallak [More]
KNOWN BUG: Repair all equipped items bugs a little and spams the price in increments this will be fixed with next update

NEXT UPDATE: Will include fix above and the new filtering core once its finished which should be more sensitive and not as spammy with the messages and also have links in the messages ( I have started the testing but until I fix a small bug with potions I wont release it )

Loot Filter for ESO comes packed with a bunch of features that I will be expanding on once it is out of its alpha stage, stable and I have all the information I need.

This is the first and alpha release of Loot Filter so all comments and ideas are welcome.

You can find the settings for loot filter in your menu->settings->loot filter

Options:
  • Use Loot Filter -> turns the addon on / off
  • Loot Messages -> Displays loot messages in the chat area because auto loot gives you no info at all
  • Junk Useless Items -> Junks anything that is not for crafting / consumable / equipment
  • Auto Sell Junk -> Sell your Junk when you visit a vendor
  • Auto Repair all items including bagged items -> Repairs when you visit a vendor
  • Auto Repair only Equipped Items -> Repairs only the equipped items at a vendor

Filters:
  • By Quality ( White, Green, Blue, purple ect )
  • By Crafting Type ( Woodworking, smithing, clothy, enchant ect )
  • By Item Type ( only covers Lures at the moment )

TODO:
  • Item Type Filters
  • Item name filters include and exclude
  • Auto destroy lowest valued junk when bags are starting to get full to create more space for more loot
  • Auto buy potions might make an appearance

Credits To Xzandro for the efficient repair function
Uses LibStub LibAddonMenu-1.0 which are amazing for creating options, Thanks Seerah
03/04/2014 ( Quick Fix Patch )
FIXES:
Lockpicks are now not junkable / destroyable this is a temp fix as they are not flagged as ITEMTYPE_LOCKPICK

Xzandro's repair functionality is now included and pricing is returned once repaired ( more efficient than my version )

Provisioning Typo is now fixed

02/04/2014
Added Features:
itemtype lure is now added
Repair only equipped items is added ( its in the options )

Removed:
Debugging code ( it was messy and bulky )

Changes:
Vars changed to ESO Globals

Some Clarification please?

By "Junk useless items" do you mean that the add-on will mark items that are deemed useless to be "Junk" status or do you mean they will be destroyed?

Really looking forward to the ability to have a blacklist of items that I *always* pick up that I will never use and it will automatically sell these as well or automatically destroy them per my choosing.

They will be sent to your Junk slot in your bag, its all the items that are sell to merchant only and have no use within ESO

Would you like a devote blacklist in there so you can destroy by name? as I was going to just put exclusion listings in there.

I might also suggest in the "Loot by quality" section that you add an option to the existing 3 that would allow for selling. For instance, white items get auto sold every time you interact with a shop keeper. And of course this might lead to someone requesting if the item is researchable to have an exclusion for researchable items.

Just some more thoughts on this as I was researching add-on development last night to do this very thing! Since you have taken the step I will cheer you on instead of try to learn lua development and even OOP which has always been a mystery to me coming from old-school C and other non-OOP languages.

Thanks for this add-on, I can't wait to try it.

Here's a suggestion:
Auto-delete known provisioning recipe with the option of filtering by Quality.

Or auto-selling! Those are worth a tiny bit of coin but every bit helps! Agree though that I collect a ton of these and a great idea!

Awesome addon, this was next on my list of things to make, so I'm glad I don't have to now.

I expanded on one of your features here:

Lockpicks marked as junk?

This seems like an oversight. I only have auto junk turned on and junk provisioning items. but it keeps throwing lockpicks away

It seems that even with loot messages set to 'off', I'm still seeing them in chat.

This occurs during crafting as well, which means there's a lot of text appearing while I'm making mass amounts of food.

I saw the name of this addon and thought I had finally found an addon to filter my bags, bank etc.

This is a feature I would really like.
When browsing a 500 item guildbank, would be SO nice to only show for instance light armor - or blue weapons - or alchemy relevant stuff.
