LorePlay Forever
Version: 1.6.73
by: Calamath, Justinon
Modified Version of LorePlay by Calamath

Description:
This is a modified version of Justinon's LorePlay add-on, distributed under the Artistic License 2.0 as same as the standard version.
See the description of the standard version below for general LorePlay features.

https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info...tsandmore.html

Needed libraries/dependencies:
YOU NEED TO INSTALL THE FOLLOWING LIBRARY SEPARATELY.
- LibAddonMenu

Modification details:
- Forked from Justinon's standard version 1.5.1
- Removed embedded LibStub and LibAddonMenu-2.0 libraries, you now need to have LibAddonMenu-2.0 separately.
- Major Revamp of LoreWear Feature
- LoreWear now support for three non-English language modes: DE, FR, and JP
- Support for following DLCs and Chapters: Clockwork City, Summerset, Murkmire, Elsweyr, and Dragonhold.

- [COMPATIBILITY-BREAKING CHANGE]
The various zone and city recognitions have been rewritten to a brand-new identifier based approach by Calamath.
As the result, the boundaries of whether the add-on recognizes cities may be slightly different from the standard version.

[LoreWear 2.0]
- Complete transition to Calamath's new outfit change algorithm.
- Five optional outfit preset slots with versatility, in addition to the existing four basic slots.
- Option to register as an alternative preset for your favorite outfits.
- New shortcut key to switch today's prefered clothes from your multiple outfit presets.
- Optional support for changing costumes according to riding, fighting and swimming.
- Support for outfit system introduced by Dragonbone DLC.

Instruction:
- If you want to run this modified version, you'll need to replace the standard version of LorePlay by Justinon.
Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you use minion to create a backup with save data, or save the backup manually.

Comments from the author:
I think Justinon's originality Lore Play has some cool ideas. One of my favorite is a location-based event-driven.
That's why I was disappointed that some features of the current standard version didn't work well in non-English modes.

DISCLAIMER:
With the current game specs, it is not easy for the Eso UI to recognize if your avatar is in a city or not, unlike the players themselves.
Also, this type of processing will need to be updated every time they introduce a new area by the future DLCs or Chapters.
I'm not responsible for any future maintenances. But it's better than leaving it buried this cool add-on.

Design note : March 2020

Lore Wear is now multilingual and supports new areas and new outfit systems.
The stability of internal processing had been dramatically improved,
and no longer makes any strange movements even if you hit toggle keys repeatedly.

In a gradual update in the future, Calamath will improve the setting UI of LoreWear a bit,
but my modernization rework of LoreWear is almost complete

That means it's time to consider the Idle Emotes feature.

It is a function that detects an idle state and plays an emote registered in a predetermined table.
And, it automatically switches between four types of tables depending on the location as same like LoreWear.

As many users have probably noticed, the IdleEmotes feature is not working as intended by the original author.
It's annoying if it's too noticeable, but there are already some similar add-ons and certain enthusiasts.
And if I create a new version that incorporates my new ideas, it might be faster to completely rewrite the code.

There is currently no decision on whether to revamp IdleEmotes.
But, Team Calamath has decided to add a small optimization to the current Idle Emotes.

For example, it would be frustrating for IdleEmotes to start too fast, so the start time would be adjustable.
Is anyone still using the idle emotes feature?
If no one is left, might be able to replace completely with Calamath-style NEW Idle Emotes?
what!?

So I installed your addon

When i installed it I got this error

bad argument #1 to 'pairs' (table/struct expected, got nil)
stack traceback:
[C]: in function 'pairs'
user:/AddOns/LorePlay/code/LPSettings.lua:455: in function 'ConvertToForeverSavedata'
|caaaaaa<Locals> sv = [table:1]{} </Locals>|r
user:/AddOns/LorePlay/code/LPSettings.lua:1059: in function 'InitializeSettings'
user:/AddOns/LorePlay/LorePlay.lua:36: in function 'LorePlay.OnAddOnLoaded'
|caaaaaa<Locals> event = 65536, addonName = "LorePlay" </Locals>|r

The addon shows in my list, but their are no options available in game (they don't appear). Not sure if it is even running at all. I tried installing it with minion (like all my other addon's) and also manually, no difference.

Edit:
Ok just realized that your new fixed version is still waiting for approval from admins and minion is downloading the older version. I'll happily wait since I really would like to use this addon. Great work btw thanks for working on getting it to work right for everyone

Update:
So the file was released and I downloaded it, and guess what....no more error's Also for the first time in the last week, the outfits are changing like they are supposed to

Thank you.
when they start working together, the Incombat wear helmet stops working normally. I think this is a conflict between them. I thought you could combine both ideas in your wonderful addon. Thank you for your work.
In my testing, the two add-ons worked fine together.

'Incombat wear helmet' add-on uses "Hide Your Helm" method to automatically toggle the helmet display.
Check this article, option 1.
https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/...tail/a_id/2542

And since LoreWear doesn't change clothes during a battle, it's hard to imagine two add-ons conflicting.
Appearance Costumes and Polymorphs have a higher priority than the display layer of the equipment helms. Therefore, if you want to toggle helm display during combat-mode, you cannot use appearance costumes or polymorphs in LoreWear. Because if you use them, the helmet will not be displayed always. This is the game specification. So, choose "Hide Your Helm" as Appearance Hat instead.

You cannot change your gear during a battle, but you'll be able to change your collectibles appearance hats if you can set it to a quick slot.

In other words, you can set the quick slot button for wearing your favorite helmet style appearance hats,
and unless you don't hate pressing the quick slot button right after a battle, you can wear it.
because this add-on is designed to change back to the outfit template after the battle, you can take it off automatically.
