As combat metrics is more or less the golden standard in, well, combat metrics I was genuinely surprised that it offers no tools on keeping track how much damage was prevented by shields or wasted on shields. After damage shield mechanics rework this have got some real weight.

I'm curious: does the addon also track group/raid damage in some way as to be able to determine my damage in relation to the group damage?
Would it be possible to display party/raid damage using bars, if the addon also tracks their stats?
What it does is track the total damage of the group. This is however only valid for enemie...

Looks to me like your saved variables are corrupted or you didn't use this addon for a long time. Removing "CombatMetrics.lua" and "CombatMetricsFightData.lua" from your "..\Elder Scrolls Online\live\SavedVariables\" should solve the issues.

Is it possible to add some kind of sorting?
With multiple adds taunted and debuffed, I tend to loose track on which bar is a taunt timer and a debuff,
it would be nice to have them split either by "type of debuff" (preferrably) or by unit

Your folder structure looks correct. So did you scroll down in your addon list ingame and check if they are there? Since Elsweyr libraries can be marked by authors so they appear in that section at the bottom.

Since Elsweyr ZOS changed the API a bit, so heal is split between the "effective" heal (restoring HP) and the excessive, overflowing heal. For now Combat Metrics primarily shows the former.
I don't quite follow...
So... it's showing just the part that's not 'overhealing'? That still doesn't seem right only hitting highs of li...

For me it's not an issue with a specific character, but the heal reporting. Regardless of character, since the patch on the 20th, with all libraries updated, it's showing a fraction of the healing I'm doing, and it seems to only be tracking part of my self healing?
Ex; previously in 'lazy heal mode' I'd do 8-10k healing, with 'hea...
