That worked! I spend too much time disabling/enabling everything :D
But yes, I had "Group Frames" disabled, but the trick was to expand "Group Stats" category and disable "Share Stats" then /reloadui

I have a reoccurring invisible map ping when I'm in a party.
If I manually ping with the map open, a mouse tool tip will show the ping but the ping is still invisible.
