 Remove inaccurate pins?

Is there a way to remove inaccurate pins? Every time I go to Vulkhel Guard, a bit northwards past the writ turn-ins where NPC Fauril is on the beach, there's always a smithing and jewelry pin that doesn't ever spawn anything. This happens every time and there are 2 wood spawns close by, so I know it's not the game or a respawn error....
