thanks for the tips, I did have libguildhistory (addon DataDaedra) installed but disabled. Removing it entirely solved the issue.

This addon causes me to be kicked from game back to the login screen in less than 5 seconds with the message "you've been dropped from the server because you hit the message rate limit" or something like that.
